GBM’s Denial Of Rebels Killing Induna Shocks Chief Puta
SENIOR Chief Puta of the Bwile people of Luapula says he is shocked by defence minister Geoffrey Mwamba’s denial that one of his subjects was killed by suspected Maimai rebels of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The traditional leader said he did not understand what point Mwamba was trying to prove by claiming that village headman Ntutuma was killed by his own subjects on suspicion that he was practicing witchcraft when in fact not.

But Mwamba told Parliament on Wednesday that headman Ntutuma was not killed by the Maimai rebels but by his own subjects on allegations of practicing witchcraft.
However, chief Puta challenged Mwamba to state where he was basing his arguments because he was not present when Chilangwa paid a courtesy call on him.
He explained that he did not meet Mwamba in person to brief him on the events leading to headman Ntutuma’s death because he seemed not to bother to meet him at the palace.
Chief Puta said police in the area were also aware that headman Ntutuma was killed by bullets and not beatings as claimed by Mwamba.
“Yes, he (Mwamba) sent a K300,000 as a gift without coming to the palace which is located three kilometres from where he was to get my views on the death of headman Ntutuma,” he said. “I’m shocked that a person of Mwamba’s stature can start telling lies that my headman was killed by his own subjects because even the police know that he was killed by a gunshot.”
Chief Puta has since challenged Mwamba to order the exhumation of headman Ntutuma’s body so that an autopsy could be conducted to ascertain whether he was killed by beatings or bullets.
“Let them come and exhume the body so that they tell the nation what killed headman Ntutuma because they will be able to know what type of gun killed him,” he said.
Chief Puta said nobody would make him twist the facts, adding that he would stand by the truth regarding the headman’s death.
Chief Puta told Chilangwa that the Maimai rebels of the DRC killed headman Ntutuma since fights erupted between that country’s government and the rebels.

To be diplomatic you need to use a sense of intelligence, which our Minister lacks. All he needed to tell Parliament was that, he had not yet received a full detailed report on the matter and that he was going to report back to the house the next time they meet…period…. instead he preferred to exhibit instinct which he might have interpreted as initiative answering….ubufi bulaya nokubwela..

Wait a minute,was our dead headman in DRC at the time of his death or the rebels came into zambia.And why did they single him out leaving all other villagers,was he talkative when the rebels met him or what.I accept the challenge by His Royal Highness Snr Chief Puta that the body be exhumed

Pipo be analytical, does it mean that its only rebels who have guns? Where was the chief wen he was shot at? Why chief alone to b killed by rebels? Witcraft can’t b ruled out coz kaputa is the source of bantu advanced technology.

From a basic theory of human relativity,there is a thin line between two persons telling truth and lie. A careful scientific analysis using this theory can without doubt bring out one who is not sincere with facts between GBM and Chief Puta. Protection of own interest on this issue is surely a good starting point. An analysis of state security concerns by GBM and subject warefare on part of Chief Puta is another.
