Sata Dismisses One Party State Assertions ‘Accusations against PF & the Govt, is in itself a mark of a failed leadership’

Republican President Michael Sata has dismissed assertions that the Patriotic Front (PF) wants to introduce a one- party state.

President Sata says nobody within or outside Government will ever advocate for a one-party state.

He says Zambia’s history teaches that multi-partism has been the central part of all political transitions this country has ever experienced.

The Head of state states that as custodians of the Zambian people’s interests, they find this attempt to debate democracy and the already existing multi-party system of governance, time-wasting and a mischievous excuse by some politicians to taint the reputation of the PF as well as divert Government’s attention from more important issues.

On MMD President Pastor Nevers Mumba’s claims that the PF was behind the recent troubles that had engulfed the former ruling party, President Sata advised Pastor Mumba to put his act together and perform his mandated role as an opposition leader.

He says baseless and wild accusations against the ruling party and the Government, is in itself a mark of a failed leadership.

Mr Sata has challenged Dr Mumba to be brave and face the self-inflicted problems in his party.

He says as outsiders, they can only watch, sympathize and wish him well as he struggles to stabilize the once vibrant and progressive political party.

The President reaffirmed the PF’s commitment to deepening democracy, equality and respect for the will of the Zambian people.

President Sata emphasized that Government has already facilitated an atmosphere where Zambians in their diversity, including all political parties, were enjoying various rights and freedoms as stipulated in the laws of the land.

This is contained in a press release made available to media houses by the president’s special assistant for press and public relations George Chellah.

Even if its freedom of expression we better mind what we say about our leders.Mr.Sata is our President and we have to respect him. That aside, people of Zambia gave ba President a huge mandate, though am not there to see it for myself what am reading about my mother Zambia makes me sad.He has to get down to working.Shortage of mealie meal in some parts of the Country, sky rocketing of melie meal price, exchange rate is now $1-5300 or a bit high that isn’t smart @ all.How does he think the Majory of people who voted for him goncana survive? What pains me also is the release of Kapoke, can somebody update me please. That Guy stole from the Zambia people.Where is our the dignity of a common Zambia.Such should be set as examples regardless of who they are related to.The international community stopped funding ministry of health because of Kapoko. The Ministry was made to repay the international community back for wastage and you set him free, how and why?Zambian people will not eat politics please get to your duties Mr.President. Wishing you well as you labour for the people of Zambia.

@666. Kapoko was a sacrificial lamb to the big fish that syphoned funds from the money granted to Zambia. Having been a conduit for stealing, he also laid hands on the fringes. His entire wealth (hummers & lodges) add up to 5% of stollen funds. The rest, find it in outside hotels, intreanational conglomerates with owners ‘unprosecutable’. Sata has no option but to let him go.

Kakolwe my Brother. Did you even understand the charges against Kapoko? If we give you a tender to supply mother/child healthcare products and you do not supply, which conglomerate should we blame? You use you position to channel meetings and conferences from your ministry (and others) to your lodges for financial gain, we should blame some “unprosecutable” person? Mwana, Kapoko stole a lot of money from poor Zambians. Yes there are, without doubt, bigger thieves than him out there. But that does not mean he has to walk free because he is not the biggest thief.

The acquito of Kapoko has nothing to do with the Presiident have you 4gotten the simple civics you learnt from school? The judiciary, executive & legislature are indendent organs of the govt. Which operates indepentlly. & if anyone was to be blamed that should be the chief justice,go back to secondary sch. & refresh your memories!

Ba Medza…surely you really think the theoretical seperation of powers learnt in civics exists in Zambia? If you’re over 10 and believe everything on ZNBC you need help…you need to analyze independently my bro/sis and form logical conclusions not being led blindly to the slaughter. The proof is in the pudding…politicians/media misleading you and you follow blindly mwe bakulu mwalishiba noku typa

    Dear Mr President

Very well meaning advice to Dr Mumba but I would like to take issue with your Winter Kabimba who is causing confusion in your party, in your govt and to the rest of the general public with unwarranted attacks on not only individuals but public institutions such as ACC. Please deal with the guy he will spoil PF’s hard fouhgt for reputation.

i used to be staunch PF, but this is now a sure declaration: I now HATE PF,and this is especially because of wynter’s behaviour.if the president had disciplined him, maybe they wud still hav my support.but sata lost me when he said ACC should get permission from him- say whaaaaaat???, and on top of that he continues to create districts beacause he wants to create more District Commisioner positions for his cadres. . COME 2016, ELIAS CHIPIMO HAS MY VOTE!!
