Entire MMD Leadership In Luapula Defect to PF
The entire embattled opposition Movement for Multi Party Democracy [MMD] have defected to the ruling Patriotic Front [PF].
Over 300 MMD members in Luapula Province this morning led by former MMD Luapula province chairman Emmanuel Chungu and the party’s former women’s chairperson Foster Chola resigned from the former ruling party to join the ruling Patriotic Front, PF.
Speaking on behalf of the defectors, Emmanuel Chungu disclosed that him and the entire executive decided to ditch MMD because of allegedly undemocratic tendency by its leader Pastor Nevers Mumba.
The future of MMD in Luapula lies int the balance following this major blow; defection and subsequent disolvement of the entire leadership in the province.
Vice President Dr Guy Scot and chief government spokesperson Mr Kennedy Sakeni were on hand to receive the defectors at a colorful ceremony which was held at Teja Executive Lodge in Mansa.

Zambian politics its all about survival. country men we got along way to . MMD was labelled as a corrupt party. but PF is embracing the same pipo who are in MMD.

@ The Syndicate, MMD as a party was and is very corrupt. That tag has stuck to MMD with a substance stronger than superglue. This however does not mean everyone was and is corrupt in MMD. Even those who were corrupt who come to join PF, they will not be spared if they are found wanting because PF has said the fight against corruption will not be selective. Just like the church invites everybody including those who have sinned, so PF welcomes everybody to be members including those who have sinned knowing very well that they will not defend wrong doing even if it is perpetrated by their members.

Lumba Muuka Kalumba is just making it official now because she was PF a long time ago that is why she used to give information on RB and MMD nec meetings to the Post last year.

pf should not allow people from MMD to join them.
we wanted change and if PF keep on accepting people from MMD this people will start bring in old behavier and they will start weaken the PF and finish the part. if this people were not happy about MMD they were supose to quit before MMD lost elections.
my advice to pf is to focus on issues affecting our country,army warms,mealie meal price,job creation and other important issues which can bring development to our mother zambia.
let this people who defercted from MMD to join other parts. why only PF.

Survival or not people have choices.
The people of Zambia belongs to Zambia and Zambia is being ruled by PF government now so everyone belongs to the same government.
Leadership in PF will determine the corrupt defectors if they can influence others.
Otherwise a person cannot be corrupt when the leadership is strong.

What is going on in our beautiful party PF. We seem to be losing it bane, how can we start accommodating these criminals in the party. Yes in as much as these pipo are defecting from MMD, I feel these were the same fools that bit up PF sympathisers during election. Let’s not forget the behaviours of these criminals. Otherwise, a critical analysis on the political situation and scrabbles in the PF party has now started after the accommodation and acceptance of the MMDs. Wait and see it might be a strategy to destabilise the ruling party once accepted.

We flushed out MMD because we wanted change in the govt system but if all the trush from MMD will defect to PF then its time leave PF because its no longer serving the purpose.Its a shame to even hold a meeting where these idiotts were joining PF
