Kaoma Man Stabs Brother-In-Law To Death After Drinking ‘Kachasu’
Police in Kaoma district of Western province have apprehended a 26-year-old man for stabbing to death his 44 -year- old brother-in-law during a drinking spree.
Western province police commissioner, Fanwell Siandenge confirmed the incident which happened yesterday to ZANIS today in a telephone interview from Mongu.
Mr Siandenge identified the deceased as Steven Chimbuze 44; of Mungongo compound in Kaoma district and the assailant as Brian Maliti 26, of the same compound.
He says the incident followed a heavy drinking spree of local brewed Kachasu beer.
He said the incident happened between 14:00 hours and 15:00 hours and that police managed to arrest the suspect and Chimbuze sustained a deep knife cuts on the chest and died on the spot.
Mr Siandenge said the deceased’s body is still lying in Kaoma hospital mortuary awaiting a post-mortem and burial.
He said people should not resort to criminality during this festive season, stating that the season is met to reflect on the death of Jesus Christ and what he did to mankind.
Mr Siandenge said police in Kaoma district were still investigating the matter to establish the motive behind the killing of Chimbuze by his brother-in-law Maliti.

MHSRIP, Tumfweko i do not know whether u re aware of water problems in Kaoma. 2de marks a week without water. And the water works bring apology wen water has already gone then promised the pipo dat water was suppose to be available yesterday 26 dec but still no avail. We nid the media to interven on this issue.

Kachasu gives serious temper. I observed this from my brother when he took that local brew. If he drinks any other beer no problem, but kachasu….
