Stopilla Sunzu’s move to Reading has been put in doubt after the centre-back was called up to Zambia’s African Cup of Nations squad.
The 23-year-old, who has previously had trials at Madejski Stadium, was expected to fly to England in January for a trial.
However, the TP Mazembe man’s international call-up means it is unlikely Royals will be able to have a good look at him during the coming window and will have to wait until later in the year.
Reading boss Brian McDermott told the Post: “Stoppy was here when he was a kid.
“It’s a possibility that we might have a look at him for a week. He’s a good lad.”
The defender plays for Congolese side TP Mazembe. He has been watched by Chelsea.

The young man risk missing out on this good opportunity. Why not let him attend trials for a week and then come back into camp. One bird in the hand is better than two in the bush!

Namugala was heavily bonked by MUTATI. No wonder she supports Mutati to lead MMD.
Mutati lost to Nevers, he was thumped. The best for Namugala is to resign if she so wishes.
namugala, Mutati and other turncoats can sell MMD. They are not fit to lead MMD.
Nevers u were voted for a 5 year Mandate. Re group MMD and rebrand it so that it can take up the rightful Mantle to lead Zambia again. Sata wants a user friendly MMD President whom he can manipulate. Some one with a case in court over bicycles who cannot talk. Ba Kaingu remain steadfast.Be the Pillar of MMD. Too many vultures and sellouts in MMD.
