Kalililo Dropped From Chipolopolo AfCON13 Squad, Replaced By Danny Munyau

Zambia second choice goalkeeper Kalililo Kakonje has been dropped by Herve Renard.

It can exclusively be reported that the 27-year-old Napsa Stars goalkeeper and veteran of four Africa Cup’s will not be part of the team in South Africa when the tournament kicks off on January 19.

“Kali (Kalililo) has been dropped,” a source familiar with the development said without giving any further details.

Kalililo has been replaced by Red Arrows goalkeeper Daniel Munyau who has already travelled to Johannesburg where he landed Monday morning to join the team.

The source said Renard had inquired from Arrows about Munyau availability after Zambia’s 2-0 loss to Angola in a friendly on Saturday.

The Arrows goalkeeper returns to the team after he was earlier dropped from the preliminary 26 member team that went into camp in Johannesburg on December 26.

Munyau was dropped despite a promising show in Zambia’s 1-0 away loss away to Tanzania on December 22 in Dar-es-Salaam in which he played the full 90 minutes.

The development means Mweene is expected to be deputised by Munyau and Joshua Titima of Power Dynamos.

This is a long overdue, the guy has been just favoured he has never played a good game even if he was being called to the squard. For those that have been following the game of soccer can attestthis with me. He is even the one who has costed Napsa alot of games by allowing alot of the siily gaols.

DO NOT LAUGH AT PAGUZA. HE MIGHT BE BETTER THAN YOU IN THE MAKING OF COMMON MISTAKES. HERVE IS A SERIOUS MAN… HE KNOWS WHEN TO ACT AND IS NOT TIMID OF THE CRITICS. THE FALL OF KALI-KAKO STRENGTHENS MWEENE AND “MUNYAU…LE”. THE TECHNICAL BENCH IS CLEARLY FREE OF VILLAINS… GO-Z-GO!

Goal keepers become better as they grow old.Do you remember Peter Schimichael of Manchester United even our own hero the late Efford Chabala.
Kalililo is one of the worst Goal keepers Zambia has ever had.
Good move ba Technical.Go Zambia go !!!!!!
