For a long time the teaching enterprise has been in a painful struggle to provide quality education for children of all backgrounds. Like mothers teachers strive to give the best education to children but this is hampered by more than intellectual growth which is at stake in the teaching enterprise. It is no doubt there is an unrealistic expectation set by policies that makes the all thing unachievable. Today there a lot of demands from a teacher such as no child should be left behind, this is true and in itself good but the question is, is this realistic? The provision of quality education comes with the cost and it can be achieved even when there are few resources to improve their situation. Educators are unfairly judged by the public as people who have failed to perform or give the best to the child.
Moreover, there should be two sides to the accountability equation. On one side, schools are expected to deliver on the promise of a quality education for every student. On the other hand, the Legislature is to be accountable for providing schools with the resources they need to do the job. If teachers are going to fulfill the promise of a quality education for all students and if they are to be judged fairly then all obstacles are to be removed. We need the tools to use to make an informed decision as we are judging teachers, for example an educator is be judged in regards to be resources available.
There is need for tool that will provide details on the information about the meaning and cost of quality to develop. It should also paints a picture of exactly what is at stake in the struggle to provide long-term, stable and adequate resources to schools. Now the question is, will we use it? Both us educators and policy makers are to be accountable for the new kinds of world we are building.

Mr Musonda you have realy struggled to put your point across and to make matters worse you have delved on issues that you dont properly understand!
Please be mindful that provision of quality education encompases various factors beginning from the child’s home, the distance covered to reach the school and above all the government’s policy to the provision of quality education!
I beg to differ with you when you indicated that ‘Legislature is to be accountable for providing schools with the resources they need to do the job’!
Please note that the role of legislators is to formulate policies regarding the provision of quality education that you are advocating for! It is not the duty of legislators to provide resources for schools! Based on the policies that they formulate, these policies will then be used as a guide regarding the provision of resources not only by the government but also by the private sector and cooperating partners!
A word of caution to you mr musonda as a teacher is that, never sexually abuse pupils because you will NYAAAAA!

Goog title. In the diversity of society, should we have localised curricular? Not that easy. My appeal is to identify members of the teaching fraternity who hav the nack to deal with the challenges of teaching & not thosr chasing a salary only.

Good article worth reflecting on by stake holders.
You can’t expect a bumper harvest from a farmer if you give him land, seed and fertiliser but no farm implements

It must start with you teachers. You must first improve your written English so that we clearly understand what you want. Then you must know the right channel to follow. Tumfweko will just expose your ignorance.
