FIND that one of the most limiting factors to indigenous locals from accessing quality jobs is the subtle biasness and cartels formed by foreigners working in Zambia.
Of particular interest is the agricultural sector. Despite Zambia churning out competent agronomists over the years only a few are employed for what they are trained for.
The majority are forced to work almost as labourers. Jobs in most fertilizer and agrochemical companies are full of white agronomists.
Agchem companies with a tinge of foreign ownership will usually only employ white agronomists to service white commercial farms.
This may seem normal to some people, but it is not right.
Most white commercial farmers exacerbate this by only wanting to deal with either a company with foreign roots or one which has whites as agronomists. It is pure racism in the agriculture sector.
No matter how well trained one is, as long as you are black there is always an excuse why the white farmer will not deal with you or your company.
Just look at any Zambian run fertiliser company for example, you are unlikely to find even one white commercial farmer buying their products.
There is always an excuse as to why your product is not good enough.
Please expose this injustice. It is robbing our people from not only quality jobs but also the necessary experience they can gain from dealing with these white farmers.
The Government and Zambia National Farmers Union should also take an interest in this.
I am told that this is what used to happen in Zimbabwe and South Africa prior to independence. White agronomists for white farmers, blacks for peasant black farmers.
Let others who have similar experiences begin to talk about this, we are becoming foreigners in our own country. It is painful.

Spot Brian Nasilele. I’m in the agriculture sector and this thing is real. In these companies, its either the whiteman is a commercial sales manager or an Agronomist meant to serve the whites. I think this is pure racism.

The whole issue of foreigners getting employment advantage over Zambians through cartels need thorough investigation as to how work permits are issued to aliens for jobs Zambians can do.What does the labour law say on employment of foreigners? Zambian companies need to up their quality in service delivery to to have a fair stake of market share.

Imwe tamfyeni ba mwisa balaonaula ichalo why in our own country I think Mugabe was right to chase the whites. This is the problem if the white farmers are not keen to be serviced by black agronomists let them go back to their own countries were they will find their fellow whites ala. I agree with you Greg Kadimba who ever is incharge of giving work permits must be sorted out first walasa.

I thought if we put SATA in power these indians at KCM who are now out numbering zambians at Nchanga Chingola. And as am writing KCM is busy pruning Zambia and we are seeing new faces of indians every day.this simply mean PF is more corrupted than MMD.because the GOVT knows for sure that we zambians we are being replaced with indians but these govt cant even react.PF MPs here in Chingola should just enjoy this term only come next elections we are voting for other party
