Former European champion FC Porto have handed Chipolopolo left back Emmanuel Mbola a a permanent deal after successfully completing a year loan from TP Mazembe.
According to sources close to the deal, the young attacking full back who was attached to the reserve side during his loan spell was has been offered a 2 year deal.
Mbola played two of the three group games played by Zambia at the just ended Afcon tournament.
The Under 20 player was in 2010 embroiled in a transfer saga over his move to Armenian Pyunik Yerevan and a subsequent move to a Congolese club, TP Mazembe.
The transfer wrangle was later resolved in September 2010, when FIFA ruled that the Armenian club which gave Mbola his champions league debut and a break into Europe had been wrong in arranging for Mbola to sign a professional contract when he was under-age.
FIFA subsequently ordered for the cancellation of the International Transfer Certificate (ITC) held by the Armenian club at that time and Mbola officially joined TP Mazembe before been loaned to FC Porto.

I am tired of reading such stories. every time we are told that a Zambian has moved to a big club, but we never see them play? so we are paying for DSTV just to watch players from other countries?? what is wrong with Zambian players kanshi?? work hard to become star players
