Please I want you to help me ask your readers a question for me. Who do I give my first salary to, God (first fruits) or my Parents? I’m not equating the importance of the two at all its just that some people pay to God and some give to their parents, so which please and why? Thank You.

It depends on an individual. If you want you can even danate to the needy or just buy yourself something that will last and will always remind you how yu spent yo first salary. Its actually not a big deal

its true, give 10% to God. then for the rest, depending on your needs, you can share it with your second God(s) who are your parents.

God does not need your first salary, nor second, nor third salary, all he needs is your heart and your ful submission, the isue of who to give your first salary will not be an isue if you know God. You will know who to give the first salary if you give yourself to God first. Amen.

When you say God first, who exactly is he going to give the salary to? The pastor? How is he going to be sure it is put to good use knowing our pastors? I think he can give it to his parents, they are his second god here on earth and the Almighty God will bless him.

Choose between giving a pastor or your parent? I will choose my parent on this one. Not giving individuals who claim to be near to God. These people are buying luxury cars from the tithes while street kids keep suffering. Building houses and using tithe money to start businesses. Man give you parents and they will bless you. Make sure you test those who call themselves pastors because some love money too much than you think they love you.

Give your first fruit(s) to God(Proverbs 3:9). The question of what the pastor does with the money does not arise. He will be judged by God accordingly. Meanwhile, God will bless you for your faithfulness. If your pastor is lacking integrity,as suggested by some bloggers, then why continue to submit to him? Find another pastor/church where there is integrity.
Those that are suggesting that God does not demand your money but faithfulness etc, are simply misleading you. Your faithfulness to God will be seen in the way you handle your finances.
I pray that the Holy Spirit guides you accordingly.

its not possible to give money to God. Just go and buy food for some orphans or something. Do not give it to a pastor, it will just go towards his “build a mansion account. “

It’s very sad that a lot of people are misleading many about the notion of first fruits. In the New testament, God only requires your tithe of 10%. Giving all your first salary to the pastor as “first fruits” is a big lie of the devil! Read Deuteronomy 26 very well and see instructions on the first fruits. That was Old Testament of first fruits. In the New Testament, every Christian is a first fruit of the Lord who is supposed to offer of herself/himself a living sacrifice.
Offerings and Tithing are what are required of the New Testament Christian. Thank offering is also required of the believer (once a year) according to the arrangements of your local church.

People, 10% is only the minimum. God needs our heats more than the money. When our hearts are truly given to God, we will do what he says with respect to money because will do all out of love for Him. We will give the 10%, then offerings and also pledge for the extension of his kingdom on earth. We will give to the needy who will always be there and not forgetting ones parents

such questions simply mean people r thinking. i like the mixture of responses 4rm various bloggers. interesting! it’s not wise being Godless like Essau. to me, wen one gives to parents, he has given to God. they represent Him. so, no self mental torcher! but 10% kupeela Lesa. i’m sure one’s dad would be oke with the i gave 10% to God idea and i brought the rest to you. they would say, ” u r wise!” if they happened to be christians..

Kindly show me a scripture that says that God needs 10% of your money. Let’s be seroius with Gods word. Give to the poor or widows or the needy according to ur ability. Bless ur parents too and keep an ‘offering’ to take to church also. Avoid the nonsense of tithing which is unbibilical in the new covenant

There is no curse associated with not tithing because Christ because redemeed us from curse of the law Galatians 3:13. Actually those who insist on tithing are under the curse of the law Gal3:10. Believers are not required to tithe, that’s why the apostles never taught christians to tithe but only to give.

I wil advise you that to arrive at a decision, put your heart straight with God first. Then give back 10 per cent to Him and add a free will as you determine in your heart. Then also bless your parents wth something you leave some money for yourself too.

GIVE IT IT TO YOUR PASTOR SO HE CAN PAY DSTV SUBSCRIPTION TO WATCH BIG BROTHER. GIVING TO GOD DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN GIVING TO THE PASTOR. YOU CAN PLAN WISELY AND USE THE EXCESS TO HELP THE LESS PRIVILEDGED IN THE ORPHANAGES OR HOSPICES AND SIMILAR PLACES. THOSE WHO WILL RECEIVE WILL KNOW THAT GOD ANSWERS THEIR PRAYERS BY ACTING THROUGH PEOPLE LIKE YOU TO EASE THEIR PROBLEMS. THAT IS GIVING TO GOD.

If you are going to give God yourself, I have no problem with you, but if you are sending someone like a pastor, there comes your problem!
I think what God wants from you is to be loyal to him. Therefore if that money makes you feel loyal and submissive to God then you have to dedicate your first fruit to God!
Are you answered please reply me I want to know.

Give cheerfully my dear for God loves a cheerful giver whether 10% or 100% or whatever. Mind you there is nothing like 10% under GRACE. The 10% was under THE LAW and now we under GRACE and they that gave in the NEW TESTAMENT after selling their belongings gave out of their hearts and shared with the less priveledged in society and NO 10% MENTIONED. Pray for wisdom and God will give to you. James 1:5
