ZAMTEL has launched its social media platform, Facebook and Twitter to respond to the needs of customers.
In additional to phone and e-mail responses, Twiter and Facebook channels will allow customers to choose their preferred communication method to get in touch with Zamtel.
Speaking at the launch in Lusaka on Thursday night, Zamtel chief marketing officer Evans Muhanga said social media offers new ways to deliver customer service and that Zamtel is taking advantage of the growing channel.
He said“we always want to be where the conversation is taking place to better help our customers. We believe that by expanding our customer service to social media, we will be reaching a new audience where trained agents are able to review and respond to hundreds of comments on Zamtel message boards, face book and twitter,” he said.
Mr Muhanga said by providing monitoring comments, questions and concerns on face book and twitter, Zamtel agents are able to engage with thousands of customers and potential customers.
He said being on-line allows Zamtel to cater for an audience that use instant gratification.
“We intend to deliver instant customer satisfaction to our Zamtel customers reaching out to us on-line via Facebook and Twitter.
