Police Nab 36-yr-old Kitwe Man For Stealing Holy Bible

Police in Kitwe are holding a 36-year- old man for allegedly stealing a Bible from his parent’s house in Kitwe’s Riverside residential area.
The suspect, identified as Trevor Chikwasa, was detained on Saturday evening after he allegedly took a Bible from the father’s house which he later sold.
The suspect’s father Timothy Chikwasa said his son went home at a time he was away on a business trip to Lusaka and took the Bible. Mr Chikwasa , 61, of House Number 4582 Jambo Drive, Riverside, narrated that when he went home from Lusaka, he found his son and inquired from him where he had taken the Bible. He said in an interview that his son informed him that he had left the Bible at his house in Musonda Township and was going to take it back after watching a football match late in the evening.
The suspect, however, did not take the Bible back. Mr Chikwasa said his son, who was the oldest of the five children, was in the habit of stealing things from home such as chickens and motor vehicle spare parts for sale. “It is so painful because he takes me backwards and all my efforts to have him educated and have a better life have been wasted,’’ Mr Chikwasa complained.
He said his son completed Grade 12 in 1995 and efforts to put him in college had failed because he would pretend to go to school but ended up misusing the money. He said his other four children were well behaved and were supporting him in his businesses. Trevor, who was found at Riverside police post, denied stealing the bible and demanded that he should be released.

You were never a christian. The earlier your eyes are opened the better otherwise you and your teachers and prophet will go and roast in the hottest part of hell. Jesus alone is the one and only true Saviour of humanity. He gives eternal life to all who call upon him with sincerity. Counterfeits will always be there till judgement day.

I feel for the father, he must be going through a lot of stress. Anyway, let the police let the guy out I am sure he is just a petty thief who is always looking for money to buy brown CHIBUKU. He can be made to do community service instead.

@ former christian,Islam isn’t a perfect religion when you have an Imam reading Arabic & you understand nothing till explained to..if you understand religion you will know its spiritual and does come down to washing of hands and removing shoes..I think muslims are just a destruction who believe in dying a holy death in killing millions.may God bless you!

formerchristian whom i think you were using the name Muslim, it doesnt mean that if we say Zambia is a Christian country then there are no evil doers. Satan is busy fighting Christians and causing a lot of confusion and commosion becoz he knows that there is life in Christianity. We are not surprised by all this, after all even the disciples of Jesus went thru hardships. The road to enternal life is not wide but narrow.Go thru the narrow road which is dominated by temptations, persecutions .Blessed is he who keeps abreast in these times for the kingdom of Heaven belongs to him.The reason why you are not tempted you muslims is that Satan had already won you otherwise you are helping him to fight Christians
