Dear Editor,
I AGREE with Mr James A D Lungu with his letter (Daily Mail March 22, 2013) under the headline ‘What’s the motive behind brutal murders?’
Surely, our country is known to be a peaceful one because of its peaceful people. A Zambian cannot kill another person in such a way as removing private parts and peeling off the facial skin. It is these people who are coming to our country in the name of doing business here and the churches they are starting.
Home affairs Minister Edgar Lungu must start the clean-up operations that were conducted in the old days under UNIP.
In almost all the townships, most shops are in foreigners’ hands. In almost all the markets, the stands are in the hands of the foreigners.
These people are even helped by Zambians to get their green national registration cards using names from Eastern and Northern provinces because languages from these two regions are easy to learn.
The witchdoctors, who even advertise themselves as ‘international doctor’ from this and that country, are also a contributing factor to this scourge.
They are boasting of the ability to make someone rich, return lovers, many other claims.
Some of these witchdoctors have been asking their clients to do the nastiest things in order to get rich.
Please, let us take the security of our nation more seriously. The registration office also needs to be thoroughly cleansed of corrupt elements.
We are fed up of these things.
SHACELE MM.

You are absolutely right, what we need right now are stiff laws regarding citizenry.

This is mere jealous Mr. Editor, can u use your skills to harmonize the nation unlike sowing the seed of xenophobia. The foreigners you are refering to are hard-workers who work for their money through their businesses, you are committing a crime to accuse all foreigner to be behind the killings, its is not all who are criminals infact many of them have employed Zambians including your relatives and even you, be fare you are suffering from xenophobia.

Mooka you have missed the point. We have differnt types of foreigners. We have illegal and legal foreigners. Some of these guys are running from war tone countries and can do anything to survive. They do rituals where they come from and they want to continue even here because with them its part of their living. Hard work issue is secondary. More over, Zambians today are more hard working that ever before

1 QUESTION: WERE THE SUSPECTS OF THE LATE NIPAS’STUDENT RUTH MBANDU (THOSE RELEASED AND THOSE STILL IN CELL) FOREIGNERS?
ANYONE IS SUSPECT(ZAMBIANS OR NON-ZAMBIANS).HUNGER,CORRUPTION AND LOVE OF MONEY ARE AN AIRBORNE DISEASE FOUND IN ANY COUNTRY.
THE MOVE IS NOT BAD BUT REPERCUSSION MUST BE AVOIDED BECAUSE WE DO ALSO HAVE OUR FELLOW ZAMBIANS IN OTHER COUNTRIES,SOME OF WHOM ARE CLOSE RELATIVES LIVING SIMILARLY.

Kick them out, “South African style” no remorse! I warned people about these things that are happening years ago before they atrated happening in Zambia.

Publishing hatemail is a crime. Right now some journalists are answering charges at the ICC for their role in Rwanda’s genocide
