Herve Renard says striker Bonwell Mwape must show more consistency after scoring a brace on his Zambia debut.
The 23-year-old striker scored two goals in Zambia’s 2-0 win over Zimbabwe in a friendly played in Lusaka on April 28.
Renard added that the statement also went out to each fringe player who impressed him against Zimbabwe.
“He has to continue to do well,” Renard said.
“A lot of players are doing very well in the Super Division and I think we can have a strong team.
“After what we have seen the last Sunday (against Zimbabwe) we can see that there are some players who are ready to be in the Chipolopolo.”
Mwape currently leads the 2013 season top scorers charts with six goals in all competition for both club and country.
He has so far scored four goals from seven matches in the league with second placed Nchanga Rangers and another two goals with the national team.
Meanwhile, Renard added that he intends to use the same team set-up as his base for Zambia’s hosting of the Cosafa Cup in July.
“We have enough players to have a team that can prepare the Cosafa Cup, “Renard said.
