Chipata Pastors Nabbed For Asking Women To Undress To Cast Out Demons

A ‘PROPHET’ and a pastor have been arrested for alleged sexual assault on two women whom they paraded naked in the hills while ‘casting out demons’.

According to Eastern Province deputy commissioner of police Alfred Nama, the women, who are in their early 20s, fell prey to the tricks of the men.

Mr Nama said in Chipata that police have detained ‘prophet’ Misheck Ngalenda and pastor Benny Banda who are believed to belong to a Pentecostal church.

The clergymen have been charged with indecent assault and will appear in court soon.

“We arrested two men who took two women into the Nabvutika Hills where they made them undress and fondled their private parts. The incident happened on April 25, 2013 but we only managed to arrest the suspects on Tuesday,” he said.
