Fr Bwalya Says He Does Not Support Gay Marriages As Alleged By TOZ

TOZFather Frank Bwalya has refuted allegations by Some media outlets that falsely  quoted him saying, once elected he would legalize gayism or same sex marriages

“Allow me to refute all stories in the  media, stating that once voted into power ” will allow gay marriages.’ Fr Bwalya Said.

“These statements are malicious. I did not in any way say those words. I know there are people who are not happy at the fact that I’m a threat to them such that they are    creating false statements using my name. As Alliance for Better Zambia (ABZ) President we are not in support of Gay Marriages.”  He Said.

And Lusaka residents have expressed disappointment over the Times of Zambia  15/05/2015 edition which  portrayed  Father Frank Bwalya as bad person who Backs Gay Marriage.

” We are disappointed with our local paper because it has not only defamed Fr Bwalya’s iimage but it  went on to attack the the Catholic Church. The paper published that Father Bwalya claimed to be in line with the catholic church that respects the rights of homosexuals, meaning that the Catholic Church supports Gays.

You can fight an individual  but whoever is behind the paper  must not insult or involve the church in politics. You can’t fight the church and that’s the fact.” Some residents told Tumfweko during a random interview.

In today’s edition,  ’Times of Zambia’  published a malicious story falsely  quoting Fr Bwalya that he Backs GAY marriages and the catholic church has no problem with homosexuals.

The Times is at it again, These newspapers are the same especially the ones controlled by the government. The truth of the matter is that just because the paper has increased its sales it thinks Zambians will continue buying the rubish that they were writing in the MMD. Lets just stop encouraging these trash to continue happening.

Ba Times of Zambia mwatampa ifyabupuba again. We have not yet forgotten your biasness during the MMD reign. Naimwe ba PF be very carefull not to follow in the foot steps of the MMD chaps such as George Kunda, Dora Siliya, Shikapwasha who used all kinds of malicious sentiments against president Sata and said that Sata supported gay marrieges. Have you forgotten that because of this Shikapwasha and Chanda Chimba are today in your facing charges in court in your government? Please do not let us stop buying these news papers again by turning them back into your propaganda tools they where under the leadership of Shikapwasha. Naimwe ba Sakeni,we respect you big man, please clean up these institutions as you promised otherwise they will easly drift back to where they where 1 and half years ago.Cacine ichibemba calilanda ati uwakalema takaleka. These news papers will easly be like dogs which vomit and leter go back to eat what they vomited.

Tu ka bakaka this time. Given Lubinda begun on the right path, but when he spoke too much about transparency, they uprooted him. His contribution towards balanced reporting made us proud for a change. Kambwili, who is now finishing himself, was very vocal on people’s pay checks, but alas, who gags these people?

I want to know, I need to know!

This is very sad and unfortunate, i was part of the audience at this discussion and it is not true that Fr. Bwalya supported gay marriages or LGBT. This is so unprofessional. He was very clear that on this subject of LGBT – the Catholic teaching and position is what he stood by and this teaching is very clear and available.

Bwalya has ‘consulted his advisors and we are told they blasted him for his open support for gay. He now has to make a u-turn. Father Bwalya is quoted as saying to his advisors.. “I’m also gay’…

It is amazing how our already poorly read society has forsaken deep reading to sound bites and news reports! It is as if we never learn; media deliberately highlights what will cause sensation and speculation in addition to serving their chosen benefactor (in Zambia the only benefactor is the one currently holding the national purse strings). Despite the publicly acclaimed “neutrality” of the government media I never went with that flow at all – they are still the same. SOUND BITES DO NOT MAKE PROCLAMATION.

To be a gay is not inhuman. But why should one parade himself or herself about his or her sexuality. I predict a future passport with remarks of a bearer being a GAY, HETERO OR BISEXUAL.
