Choma Central Member of Parliament Cornelius Mweetwa has doubted the existence of a proper drawn-up plan to upgrade Choma town to a status of provincial capitol for the Southern Province.
In an interview with Qfm, Mr. Mweetwa notes that much as people of Choma appreciate government’s decision to upgrade the town to provincial capitol status, there was need to draw up a systematic and well thought plan to execute the presidential directive.
Mr. Mweetwa observes that there is still much transition that needs to be done in Choma before it starts to operate as a provincial capital.
He says the transition should be given enough time of three to four years to deal with infrastructure, accommodation and other developments.

Mweetwa even if the upgrading plan of Choma can be availed to you today, you will never accept that you ve seen it. Yours is politicking day in and day out. As an opposition political party, you’re blind to the core.

or maybe he is afraid of the challenge of representing a provincial town as he has shown failure at mere district level.
