Bishop Mususu Says Accidents Can Not Be Linked To Evil Forces

Former Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) Executive Directive Bishop, Paul Mususu says Zambians not ascribe to notions such as spells, demons among others as the cause of the current happenings such as road accidents and violence.

In an interview with QFM, Bishop Mususu says in as much as the people are concerned about the frequent road accidents, an accident is an accident and happens any how hence people should not demonize and spiritualize them.

Bishop Mususu says there is need for people to stop being careless on the road and driving under the influence of alcohol.

He adds that there is need to ascertain how many unlicensed drivers are on the road.

He says once such matters are looked into, then Zambians can become superstitious and begin to talk about the spiritual world.

Bishop Mususu further adds that Zambians should sober up and trust that God is able to protect the nation and desist from giving so much credit to satanic forces in the country.

Most Zambian drivers are reckless drivers. I have noticed ‘bus drivers’ drinking utujilijili, or have been smoking ganja before driving long distances with passengers on board. This is number one cause of accidents in Zed.

Every weekend most drivers are drunk, just take a look at cars parked outside all the drinking places countrywide. Drivers in Zambia have no respect for pedestrians and cyclists. It really baffles me as to why drivers never stop at zebra crossing to allow people to cross very busy roads.
It is unthinkable in developed countries to see ‘a man/woman transporting a bag of charcoal/potatoes on a bicycle on the highway where cars like BMW’s cruise past at 280 km/h
pedestrians always walk on the wrong side to the road in Zambia, metality of pedestrians is that of the bush path… “akashila katondo” all these add to accidents

what makes to people to be drunkard especialy addication?
what makes people to see bad timings in overtaking?
these accidents are out of hand and we need GOD intervation becaouse it is devil who is behind.
Look at the strange killing if innocent people in zambai.what makes murderers see they fellow human beings as animals to butcher them alive?
WE just need to arise in prayers and call GOD in sincerity.

Cherry you are very right. An ordinary person cant see this unless the Holy Spirit opens your eyes. The source of all evil is Satan and he is behind everything reason that causes people to drink and drive, as well as acquiring licences through corruption and whatever else you may think of. The word of God is clear in Proverbs 3:5 we should not lean on our own understanding but on God. So lets pray to God and also do things right. Ba Bishop Mususu please deliver people from being drankards as well as anything behind the cause of accidents of course only deliver those that you can deliver according to the grace God has given you even one if that is all you can deliver please do.

Accidents are not always caused by drunks or those without licences. Then you will probably say Satan causes the govt to fail to repair roads and to fail to have enough traffic police on the roads. If thats the case then we should all just go to church and not go to work.

Anna is it true that everyone that has been in the accident was wrong on the road? No, even people in the right are accident victims. If only the people in the wrong were dying then we may say the answer is only in safe driving. Read John 3:16-17 you will see this. Only Jesus Christ has a good mission and only him helps to avoid everything so if Jesus is not there who do u think is there?

On our own we cant do anything right or good! Mwe bantu sure, tuleumfwa icebo!E.g when people divorce because of infidelity it is not because umo or both of the people involved tomfwa NO, it is because of the evil (demons) in either one or both of them behind that.Get to know the mission for Jesus Christ and that of the enemy may the Holy Spirit open your eyes.Tackle the root not the result please.

I disagree with the Bishop. Demons are specialised in doing bad and every bad thing that happens there is a force behind it. No matter how small that bad thing is, for example lies, there is a force behind it. The devil takes pleasure when we are suffering, annoyed or involve ourselves in evil activities. So the teaching of the Bishop is wrong according to the Bible because all the bad things belongs to the devil.

When God asked Adam why he had sinned, he blamed Eve. Eve in turn blamed the devil. That infuriated God and he banishes them – Genesis 3:8-17. The Bishop is right.

Superstitious behavior: why are people superstitious? How are people conditioned to behave in this fashion? It all originates in our ancestors, and back to the caveman days.

In a country where a common scientific research bird was hacked to deathand burnt to ashes because it was suspected of being a ‘tool’ used in witchcraft together with the research gadgets attached to its body. Its no surprise that most of the people in such a society would believe in any stup!d thing they are told.

I hope the man of God is misquoted here. Those who are spiritual should know better that the physical realm is a reflection of the spiritual realm. Man was created in the image of God, to do only good. Whatever is not of God is of satan, including the same drunkenness and carelessness. Satan must be laughing to see this kind of misinformation. What stops satan from using tujilili to enduce somebody to cause an accident? Man of God knows that carelessness itself and drunkenness are satanic in nature, and are used by the devil to enhance chances of accidents.

@ Akaice ne fimina. I advise you not to simplify scripture in an attempt to support a Bishop’s misinterpreted comment.

The issue is twofold. First, Satan’s mission is to kill, to steal and to destroy our rich heritage in Christ. In the garden, he caused the fall because he could stand the sight of God creating Man, whom he loved so much. Eg. If a new and outstanding employee is hired and has been given his orders of operation. Then Satan becomes jealous and uses a current employee to deceive the newly appointed standout so as to have his employment terminated.

In this example you see that God didn’t banish them because of the way they answered and eventually blamed satan, he banished them because they sinned, and sin has no place in God’s presence. But it was Satans agenda to separate man from his God. Obviously this didn’t last because our gracious God sent his son, with whom we now have access to the father. My brother, when one chooses to drink while carrying other lives in a vehicle he has been deceived by Satan, to cause his own death and the death of others. When one corruptly auires a license and later causes deadly accidents, again he has been deceived by satan to lie and cheat. And even when the police take a bribe, they aid satans plan through the love for money and greed at the expense of lives. And then you also have the RTSA that should not allow people with bald tires to be on the road for obvious reasons. Now you can deal with the result, (Wisdom of man). Or you can deal with Satanic influence -the root cause (Godly wisdom) .

With all this shared you will always have sincere accidents, by tired and dozing drivers etc. And the every country will have, but many of the things we are calling accidents are mere foolishness, carelessness, and a come from a desire to make money at all costs, even when you know your vehicle is not fit to carry precious life. I commend my brothers and sisters that understand that the spiritual part of life is more real than the physical, but to the non believer their 5 senses are there only exception of reasoning.
Please continue to pray for this land, let those that choose blindness choose, it but let those of us who know better continue to pray.

spiritual things are spiritually discerned. If one is spiritually dull he will not understand the operations of the devil. Ba Bishop no one is exalting or giving credit to the works of the devil rather people are exposing the works of the devil. The devil plans accidents whether you like it or not. What has been happening of late in Zambia is not normal. Most of those who have died in those accidents may not be christian and the end is hell. God does not plan for people to end up in hell, so he does not take pleasure in the death of a non-believer. So ba Bishop if you were to read this response to your article in the paper, what would you say. This has nothing to do with drivers being careless. No driver will wake up in the morning and plans to go and kill himself.
Ba Bishop we need exposure of devils activities not getting comfort from the devils deception. Devil will never accept any responsibility of what he does, it is up to the Zambian to rise and pray against the works of the devil
