Herve Renard will be happy that his first choice goal minder Kennedy Mweene is back and will be available for selection after missing out Saturday’s win due to suspension.
There was also a leap in injured Sunzu’s drills as he took to working with the ball and some sprints something he was forbidden last week due to the delicacy of his recovering knee.
Assistant coach Honour Janza said Mweene’s return would motivate the team further.
“It has always been our wish that he can clear his red card and be part of the team. he has always been our number one choice,” Janza said.
“So having served his red card and being part of the team now in a positive way, I think it motivates everybody.”
He urged the other goalkeepers not to be complacent.
“But that does not entail that the other goalkeepers should relax or any of the infield players. Mweene’s coming back must just be an added advantage to the team,” he said.
Sunzu who is ruled out of Saturday’s match has been on the mend after undergoing knee surgery three weeks ago.
Zambia is preparing for yet another World Cup qualifier against Sudan on Saturday and will have to win to maintain top spot.
The Chipolopolo and the Black Stars of Ghana have in the recent past nurtured a vicious rivalry that seems to make their clashes a battle affair.

It will be safe not to feature Sunzu. Maybe as a last minute sub, but not in the starting line-up. Fwayo must be in the starting 11.

Prease (Please in English), let Sunzu and Kalaba continue to ‘rest’. Kondwani and MM are doing just fine.

The only person where change should be effected is Kennedy Mweene and may be Mayuka otherwise the winning team should remain the same. Though the final decision remains with the coach.

I agree with ” cash money” no need of experimenting with injured players like Sunzu, in fact he supposed to be on honey moon. Why is he forcing to be in camp?

i agree with cash money. never change a winning team, let sunzu come on pa last minute, infact put him in central defensive mid-field if he comes in pa last minute for him to have a run in the game. ba zuberi, if sunzu was on honey you would be like ‘why is he still on a honeymoon, he should be in camp stretching’ haha.

‘Yoyamba’ by error did you mean era? Sad pa Zed the spelling standards of our bloggers. It is actually embarrassing. Did you people even complete Grade 7 because for me at that level I could distinguish between error and era?
