Another terrible accident has just happened at 10 miles in Chibombo district…head on collision involving a Rosa Bus and Hiace.
We have not yet ascertained the number of people who have perished in this accident infested district but many people have lost their lives. May the souls of the departed rest in eternal peace.

Yes we need prayer to have solutions. Prayers alone is like fikaisolva kind of attitude.
The govt must ban small mini busses to operate between cities especially those from Kabwe and Lusaka. The drivers of these mini buses all they think of is to make two return trips ….

Even big buses are involved in such accidents, like the recent one in kafue. We just need to pray for our nation, especially ‘chibombo’ area. God will surely answer our prayers.

We need to also be very practical here. The road needs to be upgraded to a dual carriage way. Take an example of the Siavonga road, before it was upgraded we used to have accidents almost everyday but since the upgrade, these have drastically reduced.

My heart felt condolences to the families who`ve lost their beloved ones. It seems chibombo is claiming alot of lives in zambia. Can the government put in place an investigation to establish the root cause of the accidents or no solution will be found and yet lives are lost. Its just not enough to spaculate and accuse each other fellow zambians.

God helps those who help themselves. Firstly lets reflect as a people and identify points of weakness then we pray to God for Guidance as we brainstorm over Solutions. These Small buses should be banned immediately from covering such long distances. The drivers also retested on all passenger buses. Buses drivers should be tested for Alcohol when leaving main stations and no phones allowed to be with driver and emergency numbers advertised so that RTSA can intervene at any point like Anti-robbery squads. Having Jumped on one Bus from around Chibombo into Kabwe when i had a Breakdown almost caused a fight between myself and the driver whilst most passengers were wondering what kind of Passenger i was. Driver Speeding at 120Km/hr talking on the Phone and looking on the sides incase their are potential passengers at one time started loading talktime and i just grabbed the phone until Kabwe since their was no road bloack at Prospects. And Never again will expose myself to such drivers otherwise i will takeover the Bus.

It was actually two people who died in that accident..A piece of advice to christian blogers, great britain was not developed by prayers, but by a demand for equal distribution of resources, justice for all and above all integrity frm those holding political office. These principle can better our nation and reduce on certain calamities..By the way accidents are everywhere so stop glorifying the devil with yo coments. You making look primitive with yo disrespect for our leader.GOD Bless zambia.

It`s sad that we are losing people due to over speeding, recklessness, drunk driving, incompetent drivers etc etc you name. Surely is it not time to reflect and retest these mini bus drivers? Corruption when giving drivers licences will only increase the carnage on our roads. There is nothing wrong with road blocks in a country where road carnage and indiscipline among drivers is the order of the day. Michael Sata, HH, Miyanda, Milupi and other presidents too numerous to mention have got nothing to do with these road accidents. Next you will hear that some guy has hit into a train loaded with sulphuric acid. Arrest the situation now.

indeed Jehovah help us…But you see people “if you see a person dyeing of hunger and you have the means to food but all you say is god help us”
I think it doesn’t help much…the always problem with these head on collisions are the roads..even if I wasn’t present at the accident scene I know that its either the hiace or the rosa which was trying to overtake that led to a collision and had we had a DUAL CARRIAGE WAY there couldn’t be any chance for that…PEOPLE since we know the problem i think we should first do what we can before we ask god for help….WE NEED A DUAL CARRIAGE WAY THATS THE ONLY WAY..

Its the small min bus drivers who are always in a hurry and have no respect for the other road users.RATSA needs to be stricter on this road or we shall continue loosing lives. This has nothing to do with sacrifices its the carelessness of the drivers and the rush for more trips coupled with unruly bus crews who are always giving bus conductors to learn driving on the high way.
