Gay Father Committed To High Court

THE Kitwe Magistrate’s Court has committed a 44-year-old man of Luangwa in Kitwe to the High Court for sentencing for sodomising his 17-year-old son.
This is in a case in which Anthony Kalumba is charged with an unnatural offence, which is contrary to Section 155 (a) of the Penal Code Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
Particulars of the offence are that Kalumba on March 17, 2013 in Kitwe had unlawful carnal knowledge of his son against the order of nature.
Delivering judgement yesterday, senior resident magistrate Daniel Musonda said it is safe to rely on the evidence of Kalumba’s son.
Mr Musonda said he did not see any reason why the boy could falsely implicate Kalumba of such a crime.
“I commit you to the High Court for sentencing because the offence you have been convicted of carries a sentence beyond the jurisdiction of this court. You will present your mitigation in the High Court,” Mr Musonda said.
He said according to the boy’s evidence, Kalumba had anal sex with him on the night of March 17, 2013.
The court heard that Kalumba locked up the boy in his house until the following day around 14:00 hours when his (Kalumba’s) father visited them.
The court heard that the boy narrated the ordeal to his grandfather who reported the matter to police and later took him to the hospital.

How can Kalumba do this? Having anal sex with your own son? This is a case of sexual abuse. This man has committed homosexual incest. When he is jailed, he will be a victim of this kind of sexual tyranny. Poor child.

I fail to understand the practicality of such things. The boy is 17yrs old and with energy. If he doesnt want can the man penetrate him and then report later. Was he intoxicated or drunk because just in a sober state if it was me it cant work. When you do “manga matako” he cant easily find his way. Nangu ni bu dady kuti bwapwafwe.

Let me tell you a story of a very ordinary man growing up in a working class family back in the days of “Eliganza’s, through to bell bottomed jeans and afro’s”
There was my father, a gay man. He married my mother.
I burst onto the scene on June 4th 1963.
The years past, I was a sickly child so attention from the women of the family was never a problem. My mum fussed, my grandmother fussed, even the neighbour fussed. My father did his duty, visited me in hospital from time to time. Practically before I could walk and talk my father had decided I was unlikely to be the son he wanted, I was not quite boy enough for my dad.
I started school at age five and in 1968… There was a boy at school, his name was Nick … not a particularly attractive boy, but anyway. During one of the lessons I could smell him, he smelt nice, strangely irresistible though I had no idea of what irresistible was at that age. My hand wandered down the back of his pants, he looked at me and smiled. It felt so naughty yet so exciting at the same time. His bum was so soft, my hand wandered all over it and up the crack, he was enjoying it. Soon he too was feeling me, I felt his hand slip down the back of my trousers,and the school could have been a million miles away.

As a child does in a simplistic way of thinking, I knew there was something I found ‘interesting’ in boys and knew also that girls were a different species I was never going to understand and had no interest in…….

Was the famous gay radar working at such a tender age? It was one of things the school did to give children a degree of responsibility and today was our shift. I was sitting next to him and my heart started racing, we were quite alone. I simply turned to him and asked him if he would show me his in return for me showing him mine.
