Mukuka Refuses to Sign For Sundowns, Opts to Wait for a European Move

POWER Dynamos midfielder Mukuka Mulenga’s move to Mamelodi Sundowns has taken a new twist following the player’s refusal to sign the transfer agreement.
According to Power Dynamos vice-chairman George Lungu, Mukuka who was scheduled to travel to South Africa to seal the $200,000 deal has refused to sign the club-to-club transfer agreement after he was allegedly talked to by “some people” during the Cosafa camping.
Last month, Mukuka and his family accused the Power executive of sabotaging his move to the free spending Premier Soccer League team and threatened to march to the CEC offices.
Mukuka’s cousin Elias Ngulube, who spoke on behalf of the family, insisted that they wanted Mukuka to join Sundowns where he was set to receive a $12,000 monthly salary, among other incentives.
Lungu wondered why the astonishing change of mind by Mukuka on the deal when a month ago his family was pressurising the Power executive to conclude the transfer negotiations.
“We are wondering who the player has been talking to where he is; just last month his family accused us of deliberately blocking his move to South Africa. Whoever has promised him a deal elsewhere should come out in the open; this is our player so other people should not take centre-stage now. If the boy is not careful, he might end like Thomas Nyirenda who had offers in South Africa and Poland but because of wrong counsel and promises he ended up nowhere. There are a number of examples of talented players who have ended up retiring in the local league because of selfish counsel. Where is Kennedy Mudenda? If they want the boy to play in Europe, they should get him from Sundowns. Why are they counting chicks that have not hatched? This is very unfortunate. I hope they allow the player to make a decision that he will not regret in future,” Lungu said.
Power last week finally agreed on terms and a condition regarding the midfielder’s move to South Africa but Mukuka’s signature had not yet been appended to the transfer agreement.
Sundowns are offering Power Dynamos $200,000 (K1 million) for Mukuka.
Once the deal goes through, Mukuka would be earning about $12,000 per month among other incentives.
Last week, Football Association of Zambia president Kalusha Bwalya advised local footballers to aspire to break into European leagues.
He said players should not be feeders for African leagues but aspire to break into European confederations.
Bwalya bemoaned the lack of patience in the Zambian players rushing into signing for African leagues.

He is at cross roads. SUNDOWN is abetter place for him as a starter up not English league where automatically will spend the whole season on the bench. We have a lot of players like him who ended up being losers so careful.

Hehehehehehe this is serious matter but the funniest part is where the famiily has a say in MM’s job! Africa mama Africa I find this so funny about us sometimes we use it well though sometimes we abuse it!!!! Kusiyana siyana kwama office, ncito zinangu cousin sankalapo na say unless ce wa mwalila aenda ku ncito to check on your benefits esp if you ve no sibling that can handle that. Iwee ka MM make sure you consult with the right people and see to it that your advisors ve no agendas no matter how well hidden they are and then choose the best option.

You Africans are told you are backwards by your colonisers and then you go on to believe this. Inferiority complex sets in. Whats wrong with Mukuka’s family being involved? Lionel Messi’s family is involved in his contract. So is Wayne Rooney’s family. A career is a family issue. Stop repeating your stereotypes on Africans you are creating children with an inferiority complex
