Dear Editor,
The Quality of houses being constructed by the Chines in Kalulushi are LEMONS. The colour looks good at a distance, but it all ends there. I visited the site and noted how poorly they have been constructed. The low quality of fittings and fixtures, the strength of concrete floors, the paving on roads etc. NAPSA should engage a structure engineers to look at the quality of these houses.
Check the low quality of Floor tilings, the door frames have SIDO reverts, lighting fittings are of the poorest type from China’s Chisokone market. The Slab are poor and porous and the floor is already patching off. Even the trenches will not last.
This site will be a sore in less than Five years. The ceilings are not to standard. But the price of thse houses leaves a bad test, considering they will not last long before a heavy and costly maintenance is required. Who will be maintaining those poor roads when heavy rains start wearing them out.
Please people, before you waste your money on these houses, let a qualified builder have a look for you and give advice. It may not be worth it wasting or parting with the hard earned money on those Lemons. NPASA needs to be serious with those types of projects. The idea was great but the implementation seems very poor.

Mpundu is a corrupt person. He gives deposits and invest monies by getting kickbacks from banks. He is a rotten egg.

May be that is what the money they paid can afford. Remember the saying “Cheap is Expensive”.

If the workmanship was poor, where were the zambian supervisors. Unless we the zambians change we will continue to have such kinds of works. I live in Kalulushi and I have seen how the houses look, they actually nice looking from outside, i should check the inside to see the works
