Mangani Still Relishes Return To Manda Hill Despite Being Rejected Twice In Chipata

After being rejected twice by the voters in Chipata Central losing Patriotic Front parliamentary candidate, Lameck Mangani hopes to use the legal avenue to take him to parliament.
This is according to a petition filed in the Lusaka High Court becoming the second attempt by Mr. Mangani to find himself in parliament.
Mr. Mangani wishes that the court declares him, as duly elected Member of Parliament having emerged second in the respective elections.
This is on account of the MMD candidate Reuben Mtolo Phiri allegedly being unqualified to re-contest the seat on grounds of electoral malpractice in the poll that saw him emerge the winner in 2011.
Mr. Mangani has also petitioned the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) for allegedly breaching its duties through the acceptance of Mr. Phiri’s nomination and subsequent declaration, as MP.

Hon Mangani was born a Learder and that seat is God given so he shall surely get it. People of Chipata Central want him but RB stil has strong financial influence on Chip Central. And for those advising Hon Mangani to go n farm or look for alternative financial gain, kindly take note that Mangani is a very successfull businessman. He owns one of the biggest lodges in Eastern Prov n he is a transporter wit plenty trucks, he is also the proprietor of MEDMA Tobacco Company Limited so its not about money but the heart to serve his people. And above all, its not neccessary to insult Senior Citizens so lets use proper language.

@ Andrew Lubusha – Born Leader or not – the pipo of Chipata do not want Mangani. They rejected him twice. Why is he forcing himself on them. Even if he is GIVEN the seat, he will have no pride. Its as good as being nominated.

The Supreme court says anyone whose seat has been nullified due to mulpractices,is disqualified to stand again and those who managed to win again those seats, will be declared null and void. So what did Mangani do to warrant all these insults? Ask the law interpreters. So Dora, Mxwell Mwale and Silio of UPND are all disqualified to stand probably for the next 5 years.

The Law which is applicable to opposition contestants only. If Mangani & Imbwae won there was not going to be an Law interpretation by PF. All these came about after the humiliating defeat at the hands of MMD & UPND teams in the last bye-election. This has even brought a lot of fear & uncertainity in PF especially Edgar Lungu and Gabriel Namulambe the first PF team managers to lose elections lamentably. Ooooooooh!! bantu bavota bwana.

Mangani has been rejected twice! He used Mpezeni which is an abrogation of the electoral act! So ,even if he is given the seat through underhand method we will also petition for the seat to be nullified as well! The PF and Mangani should just let go! Refer to the wisdom of. Solomon over the women fighting for a baby!

All this is because of Priscillar Isaacs interpreting the law like she is asleep. PF must have known that this Isaacs is not competent enough to run an institution like ECZ which needs mult-skill.
The opposition political parties are going to pay dearly for any appeals they made to the supreme court as that implies their candidates were not eligible to contest.
As for Mangani, he is wasting his time going to court when the supreme court has already interpreted the law. It is water under the bridge as he will shortly be declared winner by the wrong doer ECZ as they are obliged and bound by the supreme court ruling.
There is need for all politicians to start fearing being found wanting in terms of corruption and bribery. Transparency International, thank you for teaching these political hyenas a lesson.

Mundia ECZ should be commended infact our Supreme Court is a big joke
ECZ has been standing firm on the law and they are independent on the other
Hand ACC is compromised including our Supreme Court with an illegal woman
Who is not even supposed to be their, everyone who reads the law can see how ACC omitted the second part and other parts of the law and procedures. The Supreme Court is even failing to give ECZ the reports then they will be made public for scrutiny

Hy gentlemen and ladies lets face the realit here, our current president Micheal Chilufya Sata, how many times did he fail to get to that seat where he is right now? How many times did he petition the elections starting from the time of Levy to the time of RB? How many times did he cry foul and congratulated the leaders that stole his ballot? If you put all these political events together, then you shall agree with me that Mangani is right to petition the ECZ’s credibility to allow Mtolo to stand and be declared as the winner in the just ended by elections. I fully support his actions, after all the learned councils like Winter and others have seen the need for the elcetions to be petitioned and i strongly believed Mangani has the full blessings and support from the NEC of PF and also believe he made full consultation from the PF leaderhip. Honourable go ahead we the residents of chipata are in full support of your action and petition and I promies you we shall rally behind you through and through, God bles you.
