Power Dynamos midfielder Lubambo Musonda dropped from Zambia’s CHAN team to face Zimbabwe on Sunday.
Zambia takes on Zimbabwe away this weekend in a final round, first leg qualifier at Rufaro Stadium in Harare.
Lubambo has failed to make the team just five days after he was called up together with Boyd Musonda of Young Zanaco and Zanaco’s Roderick Kabwe as options for his clubmate Mukuka Mulenga who is out for three weeks with an ankle injury.
However, Kabwe and Musonda have made the team for Sunday’s game.
Other players who have failed to make the 20-member travelling party to Harare are Shadreck Malambo from Red Arrows, Zesco United defender Bernard Mapili and Power midfielder Julius Situmbeko.

Very little is known about this player and the paucity of comments lend credence to my assumption that the player used for the headline is not right. Those of us that follow football would have loved if you had talked of Situmbeko because this is a player who has been tried and tested at national level. For him to be among those left out and yet placed at the end of your story smacks of naked failure to know what is trendy.
