Pride Will Work Against PF in 2016 – Mulongoti

The opposition People’s Party (PP) has appealed to the Patriotic Front (PF) government to refocus and begin governing the country based on the promises it made prior to forming government.

PP President, Mike Mulongoti has also observed that the pride of the PF administration will make them exit office in 2016.

Mr. Mulongoti has told QFm in an interview that the PF did not have a national development strategy and their inability to provide good governance is making them resort to unorthodox means of prosecuting those they perceive to be politically ahead of them.

Mr. Mulongoti says time has come for Zambians to review the social contract they signed with the ruling party in 2011, stating that the paradise they were promised has turned out to be hell.

He says it is disheartening that the PF has turned civil servants such as Permanent Secretaries and District Commissioners into political tools meant to advance the political agenda of the ruling party.

The PP leader has also noted that Parliamentarians who had defected from the opposition political parties to the PF had completely destroyed their political careers because no political party in the country would ever want to associate itself with them.

Mr Mulongoti says it is not strange that the PF government has failed to fulfill most of their promises because they did not want to consider workable ideas from both the opposition and stakeholders on how best they can govern the nation.

Ba Mulongoti if pf loses elections in 2016, that wud be a plus for competitors like you. Why are you so concerned? This is clear symptomatic of a leader of a kantemba party. Ikalenifye if u have nothing to say.

Peoples part president MM knows very well that his political party exists only on papers it’s not even close to win a ward even if they compete with unknown independent candidate, the man should be the last to comment on the able leadership of HE MCS.My
advice to the unpopular president is that just defect to the rulling PF and apply in one of the by elections soon to come lest you may be adopted like Nevers tried at one time before he was blocked by his very on people in chansali. This is because PF is not close to leave the offices we mandeted them come 2026 Zambia will be a better place to live under the mandet of PF. I REST MY CASE

If Mulongoti has got guts let him wrestle power from pf. But from the look of things no party including that his can dislodge pf from power. Campaign promises are fulfilled but sometimes not in the time frame on which was pronounced and does not make the weak.

My friend i do not see any party that can wrestle power from PF. Mind you, for any political party to win power it should show its presence in at least 7 provinces not 3. Now tell me which political party has its presence in 7 provinces? No one will go to state house without winning Northern and Copprebelt provices. So check your facts not just envy and jealousy.

The opposition is going nowhere, no roadmap, no civility in the way they politic, their only preoccupation is to dislodge the PF from power, it won’t be so easy come 2016.
