MTN Must Improve Internet Service ‘It has Become Pathetic’

Dear Editor,

ALLOW me space in your column to once again express my displeasure at the poor internet service MTN is providing to clients.
I would like to urge MTN to tell its customers if it has failed to provide quality service to acceptable standards, because there is no way clients should keep on subscribing to the service while getting poor service.
MTN advertises that it is a good network provider but if you were to try and use the system today, you will find that the system is down.

My humble appeal to MTN is, can they give their clients what they deserve. This is like day-light theft.
What MTN has to know is that it exists because of us clients. After all, what are the benefits of the customers if the service cannot work out properly?

MULENGA EDGAR
Kitwe.

We have both MTN and Airtel connection. Our experience with my family so far is that MTN is better than Airtel. Airtel has been pathetic. too slow and the connections keeps getting interrupted too frequently.

I agree with all my fellow customers. it is unfortunate how this kind of behaviour is being tolerated even by bodies like ZICTA who should infact take the lead and punish all of these service providers. MTN started well but oflate they are slowly becoming like their competitor. MTN wake up, we are not going to allow you to fool us for a long time

MTN is by far better of all networks. I have been on MTN since 1998 in the days of analogy hand sets. It is just gotten a little expensive but internet is fine. Try BB and you will want nothing else.

For a number of months i was buying the Data Lite bundle for K300.00 and then came the 3G bundle as the former was decommissioned. With the Data Lite package i was able to enjoy my money’s worth for a full month but the 3G for K250.00 lasted 3 days only and the response i got from Mtn was unsatisfactory. My humble plea is for the resurgence of the Data Lite package.

MY QUOTE SAYS: ‘THE SADDEST PERSON IS THE ONE WHO KEEPS QUIET WHEN EVERYBODY IS COMPLAINING’
MY VIEW IS ALL NETWORKS HAVE EACH A POINT ITS CUSTOMERS ARE HAPPY AND UNHAPPY ABOUT.
THAT’S WHY WE HAVE BALANCED VIEWS.
    I HAVE ANOTHER CONCERN:
IT’S ABOUT THE HIGH COST OF THESE ENERGY SERVER-BULBS.
    A 100WATT ORDINARY BULB COSTS K1.5 BUT A 25WATT ENERGY SERVER-BULB IS K6 TO K9.
ISN’T THE ONE TO SERVE POWER SUPPOSED TO BE CHEAPER?

i love that, these are brilliant ideas. yes indeed lets support Zambian, even if there are some lop holes within Zamtel, at list the money still remain in Zambia. these other networks providers, the profits are taken back to their countries and only 0.02% is given back to the community.

know as for MTN and Airtel.all the profit are taken to their respective countries. Can u imagine, how many times has airtel changed its name”Celtel, Zain and know Airtel” just to avoid paying tax to the Govmt and it shows that they are making huge profits.

Next it will be, well who knows?? they will sell it to highest binder. But before they sale, they will tell that customer the methods of avoiding paying tax, who to bribe, when to bribe and how to bribe.
