Boateng To Take Personal Physio to Ghana Camp

The Ghana Football Association has allowed Kevin-Prince Boateng to bring his personal physiotherapist to Ghana’s camp on his return to international football.

The Schalke 04 new signing quit international football two years claiming playing for club and country had a toll on his health.

But after rescinding his decision, the former Germany youth reached an agreement with the Ghana FA to have his personal trainer in camp all the time.

This is nothing new to the Ghana national team after John Mensah, Sulley Muntari were in the past granted permission to do so.

Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi confirmed:”If you look at Kevin, he left for medical reasons.

“He said could not combine club and country so there are some discussions towards resolving that impasse which will include having a physiotherapist around that will attend to him because Kevin has a personal physiotherapist who attends to him every other day.

“And so you may have to find a way to this because he is a good player and if a physiotherapist can help him maintain his form and score the goals why not?.”

Boateng will arrive in Accra on Monday night and will join his teammates in training on Tuesday.

His last match for Ghana was in June 2011 at the Baba Yara Stadium when the Black Stars beat Congo in a 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
