Kabinga Pande Weds Barely a Year After Wife Died
DEPUTY Speaker of the National Assembly Mukhondo Lungu says marriage is the cornerstone of unity in the African set-up because it goes beyond the couple.
Lungu was speaking when he officiated at the weeding ceremony of Kasempa member of parliament and former foreign affairs minister Kabinga Pande.
Pande, who lost his wife slightly over a year ago, married Emmah Mwiinga on Saturday evening in Lusaka.
Lungu said the institution of marriage was key to national unity and development because it was the starting point for dialogue and peace.
He said although there could be challenges in marriage life, dialogue was the best among couples.
Lungu, who was accompanied by his wife, gave his 47 years in marriage as an example, saying it was possible to live that long in marriage despite some shortcomings.
“Yes, in any marriage there could be some differences, but knowing you Pande with your negotiating and dialoguing skills you demonstrated as foreign affairs minister, I have confidence your marriage will stand strong,” said Lungu.
Prophet Elijah Chali from Healing Voice Ministries where the couple fellowships, conducted a quick ceremony during the reception to bless the marriage.
And spokespersons from both families urged the couple to embrace the two families and have the fear of God in their marriage.
The wedding ceremony was punctuated by live performances from the Amayenge Cultural Ensemble and a barrage of comic acts from Lusaka-based comedian Brighton Sinkala.

Yes they went and Pande tested pol steve and the lady nega teve. Bu they love each other so much that not even the disease can separate them. It seems ba guy balelya even before the wife died.

Typical of Zambian men. It’s is obvious he was seeing this woman even before his wife died. If this was a widow moving on after one year, the whole world would have been against it especially the mans side and she would also have been accused of killing the husband. But because pande is a man , then it makes it ok! What a shame.

People you must understand dearth is the end of everything when some one dies it means the other partner is free to marry or re marry so one year it means it is along time even if he moans hi wife for 20yrs it means nothing Gods will is to marry than doing ( Ubucende ) good bye I wish you Mr. pande and your new wife Gods blessing.

When a spouse dies one is free and can remarry. The bible gives a spouse a year of mourning for a deceased spouse and after that one is free to marry. Life goes on people!

When marrying we saY TILL DEATH DO US PART, THE MAN HAS PARTED WITH HIS WIFE THROUGH A NORMAL WAY AND IS FREE TO MARRY. THE PROBLEM MIGHT COME IN IF HE WAS DATING THE SAME WOMAN WHEN THE WIFE WAS AROUND
