African Parliamentarians Network Against Corruption (APNAC) Zambia chapter Chairperson Cornelius Mweetwa, says home affairs Minister Edgar Lungu should stop politicking and simply respond to the letter written to him seeking clarification on the contract government has entered into with Chinese firms ZTE Corporation and Zhoangxing Telecoms Service limited, worth US$210 million for the supply and delivery of public security network.
Mr Mweetwa says Mr Lungu should not politick on issues of national interest considering the huge amounts of money involved in the contract.
Mr Mweetwa has told Qfm in an interview that APNAC has written to Mr Lungu not as a politician but as Minister in the ministry of home affairs.
He says Mr Lungu should not run away from what is being sought from him as contained in the letter, by trying to analyze the work of APNAC.
He adds that what APNAC is asking for from the Minister is a clarification to establish if the contract with the two Chinese companies was entered into genuinely.
Mr Mweetwa states that it should not be difficult for the Minister to explain if the contract was entered into genuinely.

Uyu umwaiche Lungu tu kamulonga. This is a huge amounts of money this government is spending . We have better use for this kind of money. This is looting of the worst kind.
We need to put such people against the wall and pop lead in their heads.
