Ndola Shoprite Staff Should Change

Management at Shoprite Stores in Ndola needs to address the conduct of some sales and till attendants.

It has been observed of late that there is an element of negligence in the way some members of staff at Shoprite attend to customers. This makes them feel unwelcome.

Talking shop urges the relevant authorities at the chain store to maintain its high reputation by ensuring that it provides good service to the customers what with the competition with outlets such as Pick n Pay.

My take on this is that some Zambian shopkeepers should have an appreciation of the bussiness they are part of. This bad attitude where shop keepers/cashiers behave as though they were granting a customer a great favour should stop. You just find someone behaving nasty for no proper reason. Even when a customer is appearing harsh, and you talk to them kindly they will listen. Tit for tat cant work in bussiness.

Yes, the author is correct, some shoprite workers behave as if they do us a favour when its us who actually do them a favour by spending our hard earned money in there. But Airtel employees are the worst when it comes to customer relations

Blame it on their supervisor. A poor front office attitude simply mirrors the corrugated image of the overseer. Deal with the head and not the tail.

Maybe Pick and Pay workers are motivated, I know how it is to be demotivated, sometimes you end up taking it on a client.

Shoprite pays their workers peanuts and hence they get monkey service.
Shoprite pays their staff only equal to the minimum wage, while PnP entry salary is around K1,650.00.
So shoprite can only attract grade 12 failures who cannot enter any college unless they rewrite.

At least now Ndolians you can compare services. We used to have Shoprite monopolising the market and all was well, see now just change and shop from were you think you are considered as an important factor to their business
