RTSA Corners Violent Parliament Security Chief

ROAD Transport and Safety Agency officers yesterday cornered deputy chief parliamentary security officer Melvis Shamakamba for speeding away from a checkpoint mounted to check drivers drinking and driving after he allegedly produced a gun.
RTSA director Zindaba Soko in a statement warned that the Agency would not allow any driver, despite their social standing, to take the law in their hands.
He stated that the incident happened on Chilimbulu Road.
“This incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, when a driver of a Range Rover registration No. ALF 1550, started unnecessary hooting at the officers, a situation that alarmed other motorists. Mr Shamakamba, who was alleged to be in a company of an identified woman, produced a firearm after he was interrogated by the RTSA officers and sped off from the checkpoint without realising that the lady he was with in the car had opened the door upon noticing the companion had a gun,” stated Soko.
“Fortunately, the woman escaped unhurt and denied to give any details to the RTSA officers. The RTSA officers followed him and managed to intercept Mr Shamakamba along Yotamu Muleya Road after he hit into a RTSA patrol vehicle.”
Soko stated that officers handed Shamakamba together with the firearm to Chilenge Police Station.
He also said officers took blood samples from Shamakamba for testing to ascertain whether he was drunk while driving.
“The blood sample for the alcohol test is yet to be out from the University Teaching Hospital (UTH),” he stated.
“It is disheartening that the driver in question is a government worker, who must be enforcing the law.”

Its not surprising at all, the behaviour of the PF because this is the order of the day in PF camp. And these RATSA officers if they not carefull soon they will be reshuffles for chasing a PF cadre.

Some of these blogs, really are appalling to say the least! Anything silly…it’s PF! What tribe is Shamakamba, last time I checked that name is from the banthu bo tatwe grouping, so that tells you which party he belongs to!

Stereotyping. If all bantu botatwe are connected with a particular party, then all bembas are connected with the other party. This is a reality. So plse stop accusing the others of tribalism.

This Shamakamba is really a lumpen. How can someone who is a professional security personnel behave in such a reckless manner? The Clerk of the National Assembly must act and demote this character to send a strong message to all those who acquire temporal insanity from alcohol consumption.
This has nothing to do with political parties, but an individual’s lack of self respect.
