Freeze Wynter Talk Now, says Kambwili
PATRIOTIC Front (PF) national youth chairman Chishimba Kambwili has called for a halt on calls for party secretary general Wynter Kabimba to resign from his position for allegedly fuelling divisions before the matter can be resolved administratively by the party.
Mr Kambwili, who is Minister of Youth and Sport, has since directed PF youths to stop issuing media statements regarding the matter in order to avoid further divisions.
On Saturday, 10 party provincial heads unanimously endorsed the decision to have Mr Kabimba removed from office for allegedly failing to manage the affairs of the ruling party.
Mr Kambwili told journalists at his office in Lusaka yesterday that the issue of Mr Kabimba and the PF should now rest and be left for administrative action by the top party organs.
“I don’t want to make any comments on these political wrangles because if we continue talking, they will go on and on. I have asked everybody who is sincere with the PF to stop issuing press statements over this issue.
Added Mr Kambiwli, “I don’t want this issue to degenerate into cho chise, cho chise (exchange of words). You can’t have one issue hitting the headlines for almost the past three weeks, it is unhealthy,” he said.
He added: “The differences will be resolved administratively…I am directing all youths to stop issuing statements to this effect.”
Mr Kambwili said disciplinary action will be taken against any youth who will disregard his directive.
“If you refuse [to follow] a directive, then you are asking for disciplinary action. You can’t continue fighting, you can’t continue exchanging words in the newspaper, it’s unhealthy,” he said.

PF has no capacity to deal with indiscipline. The party does not have membership. It only has symphathisers. How do you punish a symphathiser?

The problem we made when voting for Sata was when voting we were not looking at who we were voting for, but to look out for PF on the ballot, to take those thieves out of government, my hope is that the head should start screening his fellas, because we are halfway past our tenure, with the GBM’s, the Kambwili’s, the Lubinda’s for sure we shall never even finish the projects that we have started. Mr. President Use Wynter to screen you people, he is in a position to know who is PF and those who came through. Not people who uses a golf course to feed his goats and cows with impunity.These three guys are very noisy buckets, stuck with MMD way of politiking, Marubbish.
