Recruitment Of 4,339 Teachers Is Phenomenal – Kapeya

Information and Broadcasting Minister, Mwansa Kapeya, says the employment of four thousand three hundred and thirty nine (4,339) teachers countrywide is a testimony of the promise that President Michael Chilufya Sata, made to the people of Zambia that the PF Government will continue to centre its efforts on growing the economy faster and creating jobs.

In a statement released to QFM News today, Mr. Kapeya says the Ministry of Education Science, Vocational Training and Early Education has advertised 4339 names of new teachers comprising 485 jobs for degree holders, 1, 134 for diploma holders, 1, 720 for certificate holders and 1000 for pre-schools.

Mr. Kapeya says the Ministry of Education Science, Vocational Training and Early Education is in fact targeting to employ four thousand five hundred teachers around the country which is phenomenal.

The Minister says the announcement of these jobs is not mere politicking but real as can be seen by the names that have been advertised and the whole country will benefit, first from job creation and secondly from the input the teachers will bring to their various schools.

Mr. Kapeya, who is also Government Spokesperson, says job creation, especially for the youth is not just happening in one sector but in all sectors, more so with the countrywide infrastructure development that is happening around the country.

He has revealed that to date over three hundred and sixteen thousand and eighty nine (316,089) jobs have been created directly and indirectly through the effective implementation of policy, programmes and project activities under the PF government.

Is this fool normal, not everyone is a teacher so I wonder y they should even boast of such a small number as being phenominal..chaps are simply getting desperate for 2016 votes coz they know the party is dead.. They should go on the ground and see how much unemployment is really there n if they are normal,it will be a cry of shame n not seeking fame.. Verry angry citizen..

Along with infrastructure the country needs to develop an export oriented manufacturing economy. Exporting finished goods, not raw materials, should be priority number one.

Phenomenal indeed Bwana Kapeya but how long will we continue to borrow to sustain so many teachers? Nothing wrong with employing but it should be budgeted for.

Surely PF government, do you have to go on anthill to praise yourself on recruitment of 4500 teachers? The MMD has already broken this record bwana, stop hallucinating Mwansa Kapeya. This is not ‘Fyabukaya Comedy’ bwana Minister or is it Spokesperson?
