Lusaka Man Declares Unwavering Love For Sex

By CHRISTINE CHISHA

“I LOVE sex so much and do not want to live with a woman who starves me sexually, it is unacceptable.”
These were the words of James Mumba, 40, of Twin Palm when he appeared in the Lusaka Boma Court in a case in which he was sued for divorce by his wife of eight years.
Whilst the average married man has sex twice a week, Colonel Mumba maintained that his wife had abandoned her duties since December 2012.
According to Men’s Health magazine, the average man has sex about twice a week, if he’s married , a little less often (once) if he’s single, a little more (three times) if he’s single but cohabitating.
He said despite raising the issue with bashibukombe, who came to offer counsel, it has never helped and the relationship has turned sour and was beyond repair.
“My wife has abandoned our matrimonial bedroom. Am a man, I cannot be starving, no wonder I go for other women. Am ready to divorce,” said Col Mumba.
He told Senior Court Magistrate Mable Mwaba, who was sitting with Mary Namangala that problems started in 1998 and mostly it was because his wife was denying him sex.
In her submission, Col Mumba’s wife Dorothy Chitundu, 34, said they got married in 1997 and the following year when she was expecting her first child, a woman showed up and brought a child, which she said was fathered by Col Mumba.
When she was expecting her second child, Dorothy said Col Mumba had a girlfriend, who would call and he would be talking to her in her face.
During her third pregnancy, Dorothy said another woman showed up and that led to their separation for about three months but they reconciled.
Dorothy said when she was expecting her fourth child, Col Mumba started dating a married woman and they were so in love that text messages were flowing every minute.
“I decided to go for a medical check-up and I was told I was sick. My husband never cared, the married girlfriend died and he decided to travel for her funeral and he sponsored the funeral,” she told the court.
She said it was at this point that she left the matrimonial bedroom and they have had no sex for six months.
“He uses my step son to buy home groceries. I’m not happy in this marriage. At one point, I suffered a stroke because I was depressed. All I want is to divorce this man,” she said.
The magistrate did not hesitate to grant the couple divorce, especially that the couple have had no sex for months and ordered Col Mumba to compensate Dorothy K25,000 with the first instalment of K2,000 starting October monthend.
The court also ordered Col Mumba to be paying K300 for child maintenance, which is under review every year and should pay all hospital and educational bills.

This online publication is not serious. Do they even have a vision? If you have a vision at least you can have good editors so that readers do not get put off by some inaccuracies we are seeing here. I am also shocked! Wife of eight years, married in 1997 and yet this is almost 2014?

Young people should know that this may be a case of someone, who was not taught how to behave on sex matters by his parents. The bible says “my people perish for lack of knowledge”. Hosea 4:6

There should be no sex until you get married. Premarital sex teaches you unnecessary bad habits. Please avoid in order to prevent you having sex outside marriage later.

By keeping away from premarital sex, young people teach themselves how to control real sexual desires, which later, when married becomes useful, in case of monthly periods, your wife is away, or has a baby. Young people should avoid premarital sex!

This is so unfair…surely how can a normal man behave like this in this time and age? I feel for the woman and hundreds others in this situation. Am even shocked that some men on this site have the audacity to say some women have too much water….that’s why they go somewhere else. Sowhat is that? ****** fools….
