MTN Increases Internet Speed

MTN Zambia has increased its internet speed following its connection to the West Africa Cable System (WACS) last month.

WACS is a submarine communications cable which links to the United Kingdom along the west coast of Africa.

In a statement issued in Lusaka yesterday, MTN Zambia chief marketing officer Clement Asante said the increase in internet speed to 42Mbps makes MTN Zambia the fastest mobile data network in the country.

“We have invested heavily in data infrastructure in line with our new vision to lead the delivery of a bold new digital world. MTN Zambia has clearly led in delivering a superior network in terms of voice and data or internet quality and speed.

“Our new data speed of up to 42Mbps creates an unbeatable experience in internet usage for our valued customers and I am glad to note that the best is yet to come,” Mr Asante said.

He also said MTN Zambia had launched the Big Internet Bonanza promotion intended to make its quality internet service available and affordable to as many Zambians as possible through various device bundle offers, free data gifts and an introduction of the social bundle which gives access to social networks like Facebook at an affordable price.

You should also introduce the 24 hour – bundle service at fast speed and at lower cost.
The 24 hour – unlimited we get at k15 from Airtel is not that bad but they lower the speed rate in less than an hour before even you finish watching online BBC or France24 documentary.
