Zambia Beaten By Record World Champions But Not Disgraced, Loss Shows ‘No Player Is Bigger Than Zambia’

After an excellent first half were Kennedy Mweene was outstanding, Chipolopolo conceded avoidable goals from Oscar after 59 minutes and Dede on 66 minutes saw off a spirited.
Caretaker coach Patrice Beaumelle deserves credit for being brave in playing only one defensive midfielder in Kondwani Mtonga unlike his predecessor Herve Renard who would have most likely played two.
Though not threatening the Selecao, the Copper Bullets held their own first half with Mtonga, the two Emmannuels;Mbola and Mayuka, Bronsom Chama, Chisamba Lungu and Jacob Mulenga.
But Beaumelle borrowed bad manners from his departed boss by playing all the veterans except Chintu Kampamba in six reshuffles.
Zambia’s most capped player Joseph Musonda was a late substitute together with Noah Chivuta and James Chamanga.
Chris Katongo though ineffective played a large chunk of the game many expect to be the farewell match for the 2012 Africa cup winning heroes.
This respectable loss shows no one player is bigger than Zambia!

True,no one is bigger or shall be bigger than the great nation Zambia. This is the only loss that gives pride to all those who know football.Kudos to Patrice though his debutant game was against five times world cup winners.No ill feeling go Zambia go!!!

Although Chipolopolo has lost 2-0, we congratulate them; for against the Samba boys 4-0 is the threshold. But Tumfweko, the LOSS does not show that no player is bigger, it’s the PERFORMANCE that shows that the Mailoni brothers can prepare their burrial sites in Lubumbashi.

Brazilian team is made up of very small boys who started playing football few years ago. I find no reason why our team lost to them. It looks like this new coach will continue with Renards stupidity of sticking to old finished players like Chamanga and group. That game should have been an opportunity to start exposing our up coming players.

Brazil, who made six changes from the team who beat South Korea 2-0 on Saturday, battled to their 10th win in 11 games, a run interrupted by August’s 1-0 defeat in Switzerland.
Zambia, who failed to qualify for the World Cup, were playing under 35-year-old interim coach Patrice Beaumelle after his flamboyant fellow-Frenchman Herve Renard, who had picked the squad, resigned to take charge of Ligue 1 side Sochaux.
The Chipolopolo were without Nathan Sinkala, Stopilla Sunzu, Rainford Kalaba, who are all based with the Democratic Republic of Congo club TP Mazembe, after the Zambian FA said they “failed to arrive in time”.

Overall the boys played well. my problem is that, katong should be retired in the interest of zambian football. the chap was doing nothing just wondering about aimlessly and showing his ignorance by talking too much, and always want to shake hands with Neymar even when the game is on. please team caretaker, next time do not put katongo in the team. if you like him so much, put him on the bench. thanks

My humble appeal to FAZ ,Government and all soccer loving Zambians is to support the national team and the coach. Lets give the new coach time. Every time we change the coach we disturb the the rhythm of the game. Its not easy to play Brazil with the caliber of player they have.
