Patriotic Front (PF) Lusaka Province Chairman Geoffrey Chuumbwe says the provincial committee will hold elections for new Lusaka district Executive Committee in the next one month.
This follows the directive by party and republican President Michael Sata for provincial committee to converge a district conference where a new Lusaka district chairperson is to be elected following wrangles that characterized the district leadership recently.
Speaking in a telephone interview with QFM News, Mr. Chuumbwe says the provincial committee is currently putting in place all logistics to hold the elections.
Mr. Chuumbwe says committee is determined to ensure that the election is held as soon as possible time in order to usher in a new party District leadership.
Former District chairperson Goodson Banda and Chawama constituency Chairperson Robert Chikwelete have already declared interest to contest the position of chairman for the PF Lusaka District.
