Chipolopolo interim coach Patrice Beaumelle says the game against Group B leaders Burundi will be tough.
And Tanzania coach Kim Poulsen said a 1-all draw against Zambia in the two sides’ opening match in the Cecafa Senior Challenge was a good result.
Beaumelle said the rain sodden pitch had made it difficult for Zambia to play their pass and run game.
“It will be tough I know Cecafa is always tough we have to play three games and we will see after three games,” he said.
“We have to recover because this pitch was very demanding in terms of the surface we have to prepare and recover and prepare against Burundi.”
He said, “They won, they have three points [and] they are leading the group stage. We have to beat them to look forward and to move on.”
Beaumelle said the team will try and rectify their mistakes in the last two matches.
“I think it was the name of the game, we have to learn from our mistakes. I think the boys are learning from the mistakes as well and want to congratulate the two teams and we have to look forward to the second game.”
Poulsen said Tanzania will be better in their second game with the return of their two star players Samatha Mbwana and Ulemwengu.
“Against Zambia it was a strong team, but it is a good start. We scored, we got a point and we will move on from here,” he said.
“When you go into a tournament it is always good to get a point on your account from the beginning.”
Burundi leads Group B on three points after beating Somalia 2-0 while Zambia and Tanzania are tied up in second place on a point each.
Both teams will be in action on Sunday for their second games with Zambia engaging Burundi while Tanzania will face bottom placed Somalia.

As far as FAZ is concerned, Patrice is not interim coach, he is coach. He was Renald’s assistant and his contract is still on. You can ask Erick Mwanza for clarification if you want.

FAZ always does or says things first, then think or read the rules afterwards, thanks to its expatriate president!!!
