Mr. Banda who did not even waste much of his time left immediately.

Mr. Banda’s withdrawal from the race means Mr. Sata is the news PF Lusaka District Chairman.

Meanwhile returning officer Dr. Ngosa Simbyakula later announced that delegates will still vote because all candidates had successfully filed in their nominations.

And Mulenga Sata says he is grateful for the support he has received from all the party members during and after campaigns.

    Ichinshikululwa,

you do not need to have at ward level for you to serve people in politics. I will give you an example the late FTJ Chiluba, he was not a politician but a trade unionist, he did very well on la lot of things for the country and the supposedly “democracy” you are enjoying. His Excellency Mr Michael Sata served under him for 10 years and went on around the country for the third term , so you and the PF to say you need to have served at ward is misdirected argument or supposition. I have seen main other people including some cabinet ministers appointed by the fomer and current president. Which ward was mr miles sampa a councilor ? Leadership is a gift for other and others learn leadership skills.

I have never seen a bunch of liars as the editors of this useless and egoistic website. Which election did Sata son win when you know for a fact that the Goodson Banda was forced to withdraw. That sham of an event cant be called an election. In fact, what happened today is an all-out attack on the easterners. Fellow Zambians from the eastern province, read the writing on the wall. You will continue to used by PF and latter dumped.

PRESIDENT Michael Sata has reappointed Bernard Chiwala as Road Development Agency chief executive officer and has since moved Charles Mushota to the National Council for Construction.
And Mushota, who was not aware of his removal, reported for work at RDA on Thursday only to find Chiwala occupying his office.
According to sources at RDA, Mushota had to ask for time to remove his personal laptop and to be dropped at his house by a driver.
Mushota received the letter in which he was relieved of his duties with immediate effect in the morning.
In the afternoon, he was handed another letter appointing him as NCC chief executive officer.
And in an interview, Mushota said he was grateful to President Michael Sata for having been given an opportunity to serve as RDA chief.
“I haven’t been given any reason, but I thanked God, I thanked the President. He gave me the opportunity to serve the Zambian people in improving the road network in Zambia and I had put in my very best. I received the letter in the morning and immediately, I left the office because it was with immediate effect. But the good news is that at the end of the day, I received another appointment as CEO of NCC,” Mushota explained.
And Chiwala said he was happy to be back at the agency.
Chiwala was RDA chief before he was appointed transport, communications, works and supply permanent secretary and later dismissed by President Sata last week.
