HH’s Remarks Over Dr. Scott Annoys MMD Youths
Opposition Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) youths have expressed disappointment with remarks attributed to United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema in which he is reported to have said vice president Guy Scott is the only remaining white colonialist in Zambia.
MMD Die hard youth wing has also observed that in whatever context the story was published in which Mr. Hichilema was quoted, the youth wings find it distasteful and racist and unZambian for the UPND leader to allegedly make such a statement.
National Coordinator Bowman Lusambo has told Qfm news in a statement that youths of his party further find remarks by the UPND leader hard to believe that he being an opposition leader who is vying for the highest political office in the land could harbor such racist thoughts.
Mr. Lusambo says Zambia has come a long way in its 50 year history and his youth wing interactions with other youths in the country today show that the country has healed from its colonial past.
He says youths in the country will not allow leaders such as Mr. Hichilema to drag the nation back to its colonial times because people in the country have embraced all races and creed for the betterment of all.
And the opposition youth leader has observed that Dr. Scott’s performance should not be judged based on the color of his skin or where his ancestors hailed from.
He says as MMD youths they will judge Dr Scott and his fellow PF leaders’ performance based on what they promised the people of Zambia.
He adds that as the country celebrates its jubilee year, the call of his party’s youths is for politicians to remain united and show love and tolerance towards one another.

Am not Zambian but your comment shows that you are very ignorant about the Zambian Constitution. I believe the constitution talks about the place of birth of your parents and not your colour. And you interpretation of that clause shows that you are a very good racist. You want to hide under the constitution which you can’t even understand. Grow up and embrace the new dawn.

HH was provoked by Scott. Scott accused HH of being tribal. HH is not tribal. This tribal talk is so rampant in PF. MMD never talked about tribalism. PF is the initiator of calling opponents tribal to demeam others and to continue to oppress.

It is true that the whole of MMD has been bought by PF starting from Nevers to Lucky Mulusa and now Bowman Lusambo. Anyway they have missed the PF life they were living before. The only way is to sell their party. They can as well simply join PF. As UPND, as long as we are providing proper checks and balances to government and are principled, we will not miss them. Offcourse forming govt would provide us the opportunity to develop Zambia as she deserves but we are equally happy to be a strong and principled opposition.

How much have you been paid to say what you said Bowman? The term colonialist is not an insult or racist remark ba Bowman. It can either be an adjective or a noun depending on the context. It has nothing to do with race or what you call colour of the skin. Infact, looking at what is happening between Zambia and Barotseland, a Zambian is a colonialist. When something is wrong, it is wrong. This time around I think HH is wrong….We are in a modern world where race, tribe, height and gender should not be a determining factor in a lot of things including politics. Guy Scott is a Zambian by birth and that makes him a Zambian. Ofcourse we cant refute the fact that white people will always be racists and they have never accepted black people as equals. This is a fact (unless in very rare circumstances, but looking at Guy Scott, he is truly Zambian in most things…through and through…I stand to be corrected.

Which sane person can take Bowman Lusambo seriously! The boy is still recovering from PF torments he suffered last year for denouncing infamous and unbeneficial PF subsidy removal. Isaac and Chishikululwa are known perennial anti HH and undeniably antiTonga stranded cum Zambian Congolese. No matter what, at this rate of unfolding events HH is headed for Zambia’s State House.
