A wrangle has erupted between Dennis Lota’s widow and the former Chipolopolo striker’s family over where he should be buried, Zam Foot understands.
Reports reaching Zam Foot state that Lota’s widow has insisted that he be buried in South Africa while Dennis’ parents, brothers and sisters have demanding that his remains be returned to Zambia for burial.
The two families are reportedly clashing and deeply divided. Lota’s parents are still in Zambia and have been to Football House where they have been assisted with travel logistics.
A memorial service is planned in Johannesburg for Monday but the two families remain divided on the final resting place of the ex Orlando Pirates, Moroka Swallows player and coach.

That’s madness,South African traditional doctors came here to collect the spirits of their dead ones so that they finally rest in their country,so why should Lota’s spirit remain restless in a foreign land?Bring him home.

That’s why ngawasungapo akanono especially across boarders…ni anything. The widow and her family should understand the fact that Mr Lota Denis was a Zambian with parents who are very much arrive. Ok, the question ba Tumfweko is, did the late put it in writing that if at all he passes on then burrial should be in SA? I ask so because ka life and living kaba Denis kaselele ku Saube mwe. In South Africa, Ilya state Mr Denis bafikilepo kulaba ukulemba utuntu tuntu, mwaumfwa! If that’ not the case then where is the widow and her family getting the guts to control the parents decision? That’s y ka postmortem apa ifi kukakonka bubi bubi, nipa Soube palya ka!

Lotta divorced a Zambian lady and married a Xhosa lady and he denounced Zambian citizenship and became a South African. So it’s just the generosity of the Zambian govt and FAZ to assist family members to go and pay last respect of Lota.
Ama Zambian plz think twice before you denounce your citizenship. It will be your relatives who will suffer once you kick butcket in terms of traveling and paying last respect.

Pa Saube, almost all tribes apart from Zulus and a few want a man to settle in the woman’s place. All property is given to a woman upon death of a husband. Efyo iya ka!!! So in most cases a man is asked to assent to such types of customs so that in this case the woman has full backing of the customary law, balifikosha ifya ntambii, too bad for the Lota’s parents. Most of the affluent widows, check their history you find that hubby died mysteriously. So te chikulu ku upa, take care guys, you are better off marrying your own. That what you watch in Generation on SABC is the way of life!!
