GBM Steals Parley Limelight, Receives Standing Ovation

Former Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba’s dramatic entry in Parliament tuesday afternoon momentarily disrupted debate on the floor of the house as he stole the limelight.

The Kasama central Member of Parliament who walked into the house at about 15:00 hours 30 minutes after the house was in session attracted cheers from Members of Parliament mostly from the opposition who called him by his initials GBM.

The is forced Liuwa Member of Parliament Situmbeko Musokotwane who was debating on the floor of the house to pause as the Kasama central lawmaker proceeded to take his seat on the backbench amid continuing cheers.

Some Members of Parliament could be heard referring to Mr Mwamba as ‘umwaume’.

Mr Mwamba returned to Parliament as a backbencher as the house resumed sitting today having resigned from his ministerial position as defence Minister over the impasse surrounding the recognition of Henry Kanyanta Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu by government.

Out standing ovations, i wish they’re the voters in his constituency, but alas the parliamentarians who gave out those ovations are not his voters when it comes to his constituency.

    Dr. B. M. Kapika (BMK)
    Mr. Geoffrey Mwamba (GBM)
    Mr. Chipimo
They are men of the week and they are really leaders. My advise to them is: Form one pary and rule us.

Defence Ministers in Zambia are the only courageous Politicians we have. Even when they know the repercussions that would ensue their resignations, they still go ahead and take the bull by the horns. Mpombo and GBM, I salute your courage. You will surely be vindicated by the people of Zambia.

The expressions of the MP reflects how the Zambian society feels about GBM, and through that how they regard Sata’s administration. The Chitimukulu d GBM ansaga is one issue that has the power to negatively change people’s perception about the PF

Isaac your comments sound pro-PF to the PF party bone marrow for useless reasons which will not reduce price of Mealiemeal. Honestly speaking your comments are not inspiring because you behave like a PF cadre remotely controlled by a super human gadget.

Winning a national recognition and subsequently win an election is not an easy thing to achieve whether one has money or not. Its not like winning the hearts of your family members noo! Very soon and i mean very soon GBM as he is fondly called will belong to the political dust bins. Watch the space. Its not everything that money can show its ugly face on.

This is a long con from Bembas and its working. They realised that the whole nation was turning against them and have tried to introduce the GBM factor as a gambit.

Most zambians have fallen for it.

At least a bemba will be in the running in the future.
