CHIRUNDU DC Droped

President Michael Sata had yestereday with immediate effect terminated the contract of Mr. Maxwell Siamalimba as Chirundu District Commissioner. Speaking when he addressed workers from Government departments and other organisations at the Chirundu council chamber this afternoon, Mr.Siamalimba said, his three year contract was ending next year but the appointing authority who is the republican President has decided to terminate my contract. I have come here to bid farewell to you my colleagues. He thanked those who supported him during his tenure of office.Mr.Siamalimba who handed over his office to the District administrative officer Mr.Oneil Chiiya who is the former teacher at Chirundu High school as the acting DC thanked the President for according him an opportunity to serve in the newly created Chirundu district as the first District Commissioner.Mr.Siamalimba who was in the jovial mood dressed in black suit said, in every family, there  are some frictions but a family is a family you people of Chirundu still remain my brothers and sisters.

On 27/02/2014 Pf cadres in Chirundu locked DCs office and demanded that, President Sata fires or transfer Mr.Siamalimba, whom they accused of not protecting the locals when it comes to the issue of employment in the district. He was also being accused of killing the party. The cadres also accused him of engineering some transfers for potential civil servants among other issues. However, the office was reopened by the police and 4 PF officials including the Chairlady Mrs Phiri were detained and later released on police bond.

Meanwhile, Pf officials have welcomed the move by President Sata to terminate Mr.Siamalimamba’s contract. In an interview, Pf District Chairlady Mrs Phiri, said, the man Mr.Siamalimba was not a builder but a destroyer and am thanking the higher Authority about what has happened and this must serve as a big lesson to others.Mr.Siamalimba was going to destroy our party now I want to put things in order.

    The same will happen to eastern province soon.the PS is not of the standard as PF caders will do it he corrupt he deals with indians more then locals

    DCs should be civil servants appointed in the civil service not uneducated cadres like the Mpika one and many others.

    Mwilatukana bane. No one has never been to school. All those you are calling uneducated have sat before a teacher. What level of education does one has to posses to be called educated?
