President Michael Sata has with immediate effect fired Tourism Minister Sylvia Masebo.
This is according to a statement issued by President Michael Sata’s Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations, George Chellah
The Head of State has since thanked Ms Masebo for the services rendered to the country during her tenure of office.
Ms Masebo was recently being probed by the Commission of Inquiry constituted into her alleged interference in the operations of the Zambia Wildlife authority-ZAWA with regards to the firing of the top five ZAWA officers and the dissolution of the ZAWA board among other allegations.
However, during the Rodah Kaoma-led tribunal, Ms Masebo also disclosed that instructions to dissolve the ZAWA board came from President Sata.
And in his final submission on Friday, March 14, 2014 petitioner William Harrington submitted that Ms Masebo be dropped from her Ministerial position.

Sometimes i wonder if that man in state house is mentally stable. why waste time and money of a tribunal when he intends to act without getting the findings of the tribunal. Some one please take Micheal Sata to chainama mental hospital.

Hon Masebo was mislead by the Vice President, who had hidden agendas in the Wildlife sector. The Management at ZAWA must go and the Board must also go. Reinstate the former management because they knew what they were doing.

At least Masebo can now concetrate on development promises of her constituency, as she will now have more time to be in chongwe than being in Livingstone
