Ignore Zambia Police Threats – Elias Chipimo

Elias Chipimo Junior National Restoration Party (NAREP) President, has urged stakeholders championing the release of the final draft constitution to ignore the Zambia Police warning over the prayer meetings.

The Zambia Police has warned that the law will take its course and visit all churches using their church buildings for campaigns to push for the release of the first draft Constitution.

Mr. Chipimo says the PF government will try to intimidate the relevant stakeholders championing for the speedy enactment of the new republican constitution, by using the Police but that this will not succeed.

Mr. Chipimo states that genuine opposition political parties, CSOs, Church mother Bodies and other concerned stakeholders have already drawn an agenda and that they know what they want.

He explains that according to the current constitution under Article 1 sub article 2, power resides in the people and that the people will do anything within the limit of their powers.

Mr. Chipimo notes that there is nothing unconstitutional for people to gather in church and pray over issues affecting them.

Am surprised that even a lawyer can advocate for lawlessness, are churches not registered under the registrar of societies act and their role spelt out? Why should churches be the front for people with selfish motives?

Defense wings are the weakest bodies to political influence.
They can even kill as long as the commander in chief say so, which i doubt if ours function under laws and the constitution.
sata give us a rope so it can strangle you.
With or without the new constitution, there will be consequences,
Where is RB? Is he being tried on the new constitution?
FTJ (R.P) danced to the tune of an old constitution, it only requires an educated man like LEVY (R.P), otherwise sata will be like FTJ and it will take a schooled opposition to handle sata so HARSHY so the rest learns from it.
