Man In Court For Incest
Timber Producers Association of Zambia (TPAZ) vice president Charles Masange has pleaded not guilty to attempted incest.
And Zambian Voice executive director Chilufya Tayali is in court for rape contrary to the laws of Zambia.
Masange, 53, a business executive of Chitanda road in Chunga Township in Lusaka is charged with one count of attempted incest contrary to the laws of Zambia.
It is alleged that Masange on November 9, 2013 in Lusaka did unlawfully attempt to have sex with his biological daughter.
According to details obtained by the Times, Masange on November 2, 2013 around 18:30 hours headed to Nsimbi Yanga guest house in Matero where he found a security guard on duty, Paul Musha and informed him to direct a girl to his room.
When the girl arrived, she was as per instruction ushered to the room where she found her father waiting for her.
A few moments later, police officers arrived at the lodge and asked Mr Musha to accompany them to room four because Masange’s daughter had tipped them about the ‘meeting with her father.
The girl also told the police that her father had been sexually abusing her several times.
When the police in the company of the guard entered the room, they found the girl wrapped in a bathing towel while her father was in the bathroom and had already put on a condom.
He was apprehended and later taken to Chilenje police where he was formally charged with attempted incest.
But Masange who appeared before magistrate Willie Banda yesterday told the court that although he understood the allegations against him, he was not guilty.
Mr Banda has set April 15, as the date for a mention and fixing of trial dates.
Meanwhile, Tayali, 38, an Information Technician of flat number 1, Villa Elizabetha is in court charged with one count of rape contrary to the law.
Particulars allege that Tayali on July 16, 2012 in Lusaka had unlawful sex of Ruth Zulu without her consent.
Tayali pleaded not guilty and trial has since commenced before Lusaka magistrate Willie Banda.
He would appear on April 23, 2014 for continued trial.

The girl was already wrapped in a towel? sounds like she was already geared for the encounter especially that she followed him all the way to the guest house. Had all the time to stay away.
I suspect she has been enjoying these escapades with the bali but something went terribly wrong if you ask me.
