GIVEN Lubinda says there is no opposition in the country.
Lubinda, who is Kabwata PF member of parliament, said current opposition political parties in Zambia should not even think they can remove PF in 2016.
“The wind of change will not happen in 2016 as people want to think. If there has been some slippage in the PF government, that is normal in any government. The MMD had had several slippages but they stayed on for 20 years,” he said.
Lubinda said the UPND must not exaggerate the so-called unpopularity of the PF, saying the ruling party had no opposition.
He said the PF’s formation of government in 2011 obliterated the opposition in Zambia.
Lubinda said the PF was a very fortunate party because of the lack of a formidable opposition.
He said the political parties would have to wait for a long time before they could become formidable.
“The MMD might come up as a formidable opposition, but they seem to be taking time. The MMD never went through the process of being in opposition,” he said.
“There isn’t so much opposition. The PF provided more opposition to the MMD than what is happening now. The PF was on top of things as an opposition political party. It could be heard and felt everywhere.”
On the UPND’s win in Katuba, Lubinda said the circumstances under which the UPND won the seat might be different now.
He said the UPND’s victory in Katuba should not be seen as a ‘writing on the wall’ for a party that could form government

MMD had no hallucinating and sick President. MMD came in at a change of a political system and ideology. Cost of living is rising and the economy is crumbling. Why should we go in circles. PF has failed. They were elected to improve things, not to take us backwards. They will be shocked in 2016. No wonder they are now talking about 2016; they are trying to give each other some false courage and hope. Hahahahaha!

These PF have failed to control the depreciating of kwacha, today it is at 6.6. What type of a governing system is this?? How do you expect people of Zambia to import things from outside the country?? This is becoming very unbearable, our currency is going down every day.

@Shawn, this is one of the reasons the Kwacha is loosing value; you want to import everything including vegetables from outside the country. Let us be proud Zambians by supporting our local industries.
Look, all textiles are imported yet we grow our own cotton and our textile companies are gathering dust and rust.

@Chibote you have a valid point but my concern is on imports like vehicles and machinery, most of the things we would want to purchase are in dollar but look at the exchange rate (dollar to kwacha)….its abnormal

If Nevers, Milupi, Hakainde, Cosmo, et al could just tell us what they have as a plan for Zambia, may be, just may be, they may have a chance. But as things stand, & all rationality considered, Lubinda has a valid point. You can rant or insult all you HHians, THATS ALL YOU ARE GOOD AT.

I thought Lubinda will open up his eyes because of what he has received so far.First time to see a very ds-organised government fighting each other like noman’s business including him who was accused and chest like a thief. Now man tell me how can you find time to uplift kwacha in this type of leadership and win in 2016?AS young as am i can see what more you with gray hair? From today tok sense mwaiche.

The biggest opposition PF Government has is the people its ruling when we are complaining then things not okay and when you turn a blind eye then that is good for you but remember “the decision that you make will affect your future”.

Lubinda is not thinking independently. So Sata must have called him to say something or else he would send Police to arrest him.

(Edited version from the first edition)
UPND president and businessman Hakainde Hichilema is said to have fathered a 20 years old boy with a Scottish Woman.
A Scottish woman who is believed to be a resident of Edinburgh, the country’s capital and second-largest city of Scotland has come forward seeking help on how best she can get in contact with Zambian opposition leader for United Party for Nation Development (UPND) Hakainde Hichilema (HH). According to her claims she knew Mr. Hichilema when they met at one of the University in United Kingdom as students.
The woman has categorically started that she had a short relationship with Mr. Hichilema during the time they were University students here in UK at University of Birmingham.
According to her, during this short relationship with Mr. Hichilema she had conceived. Unfortunately she shockingly discovered being pregnant few months after a relationship ended and evidently graduated from University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. By then she had returned to her parents in Scotland. Her son who is believed to be fathered by HH is 20 years old now.
The woman started looking for HH in 2010, upon learning that he is still alive and heading a political party in Zambia. All she wants is for her 20 year old son to know who his real father is and above all, as a woman who raised her son as a single mother for 20 years, she wants Mr. Hichilema to pay all unpaid Child Maintenance and support. “I’m not filing a lawsuit against Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, simply saying, I want you to come clean, Mr. Hichilema. I want Mr. Hichilema to come forward and pay all unpaid Child Maintenance and Support and take care of your son before I engage a family lawyer and Child Maintenance agencies” she said.
Hichilema is believed to have been married to his former office manager Mutinta, and together, they have three children, daughter Miyanda, and sons Habwela and Chikonka.
Note: We are keenly following this developing story and a full report will be published upon finishing our investigations on this interesting matter in few weeks to come.
