SATA Refuses To Auction PF

PRESIDENT Michael Sata has refused to auction PF to hijackers, says Wynter Kabimba.
The PF secretary general said there were people that wanted to hijack PF using money, but failed to penetrate President Sata because of the love he had for the majority poor Zambians.
“President Michael Sata set up this political party to serve the poor, to uplift the lives of the poor. That’s why you find that PF members of parliament represent a broad spectrum of our society. We are a rainbow party because we don’t look at somebody’s pocket when adopting candidates. They are all given equal opportunities,” he said.
Kabimba said the values, principles and beliefs that President Sata stood for must be protected and safeguarded from people that wanted to hijack the party.
“The values of our founding and Republican President Michael Chilufya Sata must be protected from people that want to hijack the party using money. That’s why MMD is dying, it has been hijacked by newcomers. They came, found the party (MMD) without values, no foundation, no principles. It had no soul. It can be auctioned to the highest bidder. Even those that tried it in PF found it difficult to achieve because President Michael Sata refused that hijackers take over the party using money. That’s how much he loves this country and its people,” he said.
Kabimba said PF was a living entity and not a party established for election purposes only.
He said PF was established to correct the wrongs made by previous governments and connect with citizens.
Kabimba said the party would ensure that future generations bequeathed its historical legacy so that they appreciate setbacks founding members went through.
He said the generations to come should appreciate that development of a living entity was not without obstacles.
“They should learn from the obstacles surmounted from the first leadership of this political party and carry on with the struggle. George Orwell in 1936 during a Spanish civil war said; ‘He who controls the party controls the present, he who controls the present controls the future.’ We don’t want our future generations to be misled on both the founding spirit of our party by President Michael Sata and the values this party has come to represent. Michael Sata set up this political party to serve the poor, to uplift the lives of the poor,” Kabimba said.
On requests from party officials to erect a statue in Luwingu district where PF got its first member of parliament in 2001, Kabimba said the concerns were genuine.
Kabimba said the idea was good for the preservation of the party.
He said the district gave the party a great deal of hope that it was on its way to forming government.
Kabimba said it was the journey from August 2001 with its first member of parliament Musonda Mpankata that culminated in the PF’s victory in 2011.
“Our members are right to request for a statue. Luwingu should be honoured. PF is here to stay. We need to document our historical achievements. As secretary general, it’s my duty to take up this matter with the Central Committee and make an appropriate decision. We have written a book about our party and in that book that Dr (Ngosa) Simbyakula and myself wrote on the history and progression of PF from 2001-2011. One of the facts we highlighted is that our first MP came from Lupososhi. That’s the origin,” he said.
Kabimba said he and Dr Simbyakula had embarked on writing a second booklet that would cover PF in government and development between 2011 to 2016.
Meanwhile, Kabimba thanked PF members that contributed to the growth of the party whilst serving abroad.
Kabimba said this when he handed over a Toyota Regius and Toyota Hiace to the Kasama provincial executive committee bought by Zambia’s second secretary to China Frederick Chisanga and Zambia’s envoy to the Democratic Republic of Congo Fidelis Kapoka, for party mobilisation.
He said the two had continued to serve the party faithfully and with dedication.
Kabimba warned party officials against abusing the vehicles.
“These two gentlemen have exhibited this commitment not because they are rich, not because they have extra resources but because they love the Patriotic Front. They have realised that they are where they are because of the party. They have exhibited outstanding character in terms of how a member can remain committed to the party,” said Kabimba.

Kabimba it’s obvious that you are still fighting GBM! Leave him alone for any one can tell who you’re referring to from your tone about “people that wanted to hijack PF using money!” and in my own case I do not believe that PF was born out of conviction to serve the poor rather it was bitterness by your leader not to be anointed to take over from Chiluba! More a rebellion than anything else! PF has failed to address the plight of the poor apart from running rhetoric!

Just like ZWD is from the pit of hell. Spreading tribalism and hatred half truths and lies with impunity. If anything ZWD also means Zambia Will Divide (ZWD). But we shall ask our Heavenly Father to unite our country. Hahahahaha, kikikikikik.
