Man Commits Suicide After Testing HIV Positive
A 35 year old man of Mansa has allegedly committed suicide after he tested positive for HIV.
Luapula Province police commissioner, Malcolm Mulenga, confirmed the development in an interview yesterday.
Mullensaid Mambwe Kapaya of Chipote village in chief Kalasa Lukangaba’s area hanged himself.
“Police received a report of sudden and unnatural death from the brother to Kapaya who was found dead on the material day around 06:00 hours in the nearby bush in Chabala-Muwe area. The police found the body of the deceased lying on the ground under a tree with a wire tied around his neck,” he said.
Mulenga said facts available indicated that Kapaya had gone for a VCT test and the results came out positive.
“He failed to accept the situation, hence his committing suicide,” said Mulenga.
Mulenga said no foul play was suspected.

Sorry you va gone too early than HIV related infections wld have taken u,wth the ARVS available.if all positive people va to taken such a stand tatwakapwa mu calo?Let’s be strong and make use of medication available plus positive living.One can live more years than a negative person.Deathcan strike any time too bad for our brother

Withdraw ARVs or stop giving them for free & let all with the virus to die out naturally,so that the spread of HIV can be arrested.

A lot of people have been living with AIDS knowingly or unknowingly but they did not commit suiside. why you? Are you just normal? Oh sorry you cant read now that you re dead. Hope keeps us going
